I think you mean the Capitol Police, Madco. At minimum, they should be subject to censure. The worst I would do is strip them of their committee assignments.

According to riot leader Matt Gaetz, Rep. Ken Buck was to be in the protest brigade today. Also, I think he's the one dead center in the floor-level portrait that's been circulating.
The esteemed Marcy Wheeler has annotated the guest list and notes that Buck (a) voted in 2017 to hold that protests were against House rules, and (b) is already authorized to be in the hearings as he sits on the Foreign Affairs Committee. Rumor has it they've been walking out of the hearings so they can pretend the Democrats are shutting them out.
It seems to depend on who's doing the investigating. When Trey Gowdy was running that pointless Benghazi investigation, interviews were done in private. As he wrote in the final report:
