It was just before midnight on Sunday when a man opened fire on a crowd in Las Vegas, killing at least 59 people and injuring more than 500 others.
Less than 16 hours later, Dudley Brown was sending out fundraising emails, warning that “the anti-gun ghouls in Washington D.C. are already screeching for more gun control.”
The irony is thick here:
Their demands would have done nothing to stop last night’s shooting rampage, and would only make things worse.
Gun control is not the solution, it is the problem.
It is sickening to see the anti-gun crowd exploit pain and suffering to push for the very same defunct policies that contribute to this kind of attack. [Pols emphasis]
In the coming days, strong support for the Second Amendment will be more important than at any other time so far in Trump’s Presidency.
Before we go any further, let’s all agree that it is completely ludicrous to suggest that gun control policies might have made things worse in Las Vegas on Sunday night. This is not a defensible argument. Now, back to Dudley Brown…
Brown is the President of the National Association for Gun Rights (NAGR) and head guy at the Rocky Mountain Gun Owners (RMGO). He has carved out a nice living for himself by yelling and waving his arms whenever anyone so much as hints that maybe, just maybe, we don’t actually need 10,000 rounds of ammunition for every citizen.
It probably makes some strategic sense for Brown and groups like NAGR and RMGO to try raising money over any new gun control sentiment…but not 16 hours after the deadliest mass shooting in American history. Can you at least pretend to have a soul for the first 24 hours after such a tragedy?
You can read the full text of the NAGR fundraising email after the jump…

Reply-To: dudley.brown@nationalgunrights.orgLast night’s murderous rampage in Las Vegas was indeed an act of pure evil.
My thoughts and prayers go out to the victims and their families; and for a speedy recovery for those injured.
But while most Americans are uniting with the victims, sending support . . .
. . . the anti-gun ghouls in Washington D.C. are already screeching for more gun control.

Your National Association for Gun Rights will continue to fight for our God-given right to keep and bear arms, and I know you’ll be right there with us in the upcoming battles.
Thank you for your continued support.
For Freedom,

National Association for Gun RightsP.S. My thoughts and prayers go out to the victims of last night’s murderous rampage in Las Vegas.
Before some victims had even made it to the hospital, the anti-gun ghouls in Washington D.C. were already screaming for their failed gun control agenda.
It sickens me to see them exploiting this kind of pain and suffering; gun control is the problem, not the solution.
To support our efforts to defend the Second Amendment in the coming weeks and months, please chip in $10 or $20 to help us defeat the tidal wave headed straight at us.
