Would one house have been saved in Colorado Springs if things had been just a little bit different?

That questions isn’t really asked here, but…

given that this was written by Bloomberg, not the uberLiberal MSNBC or DP…

https://www.sfgate.com/business…

The city of Colorado Springs fought this fire with 39 fewer firefighters and 50 fewer police than it had just five years ago, thanks to massive tax cuts.

My heart goes out to every single person who lost their home, and especially to the city police and fire department that had to fight this fire with a lot less personnel and resources…but it isn’t just global warming, or beetle kill – we can thank the Republicans in Congress who voted against adding firefighters and police nationally, and the people of Colorado Springs who have voted regularly against increasing their taxes.

Those who believe in smaller government (unless of course we’re talking women’s bodies or what people do in their privacy of their own homes) – you reap what you sow.
