McInnis Road Trip -- Hope They Have GPS

( – promoted by Colorado Pols)

Scott McInnis Train Wreck

Our favorite hot tempered ethically challenged former Congressman is set to embark on a tour to announce his candidacy for Governor this week.  I’m glad he’s ending the suspense.  Many of us have been wondering if he’s really running — or just paying up on some debt he lost to one of his lawyer-lobbyist buddies at Hogan & Hartson.

With Congressman McInnis coming down out of the ivory tower in downtown Denver, I hope he has a GPS unit.  All jokes about him featuring Canadian Rockies on his website aside, I’m a bit nervous that a former 6 term Congressman doesn’t know where the State Capitol is:

https://bendegrow.com/2009/just…

Further, for a guy who used to represent the SAN LUIS Valley in Congress, you’d think he’d know how to spell it (see his announcement below):

The “It’s about Colorado” Tour

Schedule for first week

10/05/09

10:00-12:00 State Capitol

1:00-2:30 Idaho Springs [Marion’s and The Irish Emporium]

4:00-5:00 Edwards [ Main Street Grill, 1st Main Building, Riverwalk]

6:00- Glenwood Springs [The Garfield Business Center, 270 Center St. 81601]

10/06/09

7:00-12:30 Grand Junction [Several coffee shops, Convention Center 159 Main St. 81601–11:00-12:30]

2:00-3:30 Delta [Presbyterian Westminster Hall, 135 E. 4th St.]

4:00-5:30 Montrose [Holiday Inn Express, 1391 S. Townsend]

7:00-8:00 Ouray [Community Center, 320 6th Avenue]

10/07/09

8:00-9:30 Durango [City Market Parking Lot, 13 & Main]

11:30-1:00 Pagosa Springs [Pagosa Springs Community Center 451 Hot Springs Blvd.]

5:00- 6:30 Alamosa [San Louis Valley Museum, 401 Hunt]

10/08/09

7:00-8:00 Hooper [Miss Debs Café 11704 Hwy 17]

8:30-9:30 Sand Dunes

11:00-12:30 Walsenburg [Heritage Park, Walsen Ave]

4:00- Colorado Springs [Stargazers Theatre, 10 S. Parkside Dr.]

10/09/09

7:00-8:00 Woodland Park [Grandmother’s Kitchen, 212 E US Highway 24]

8:00-9:30  Woodland Park [City Hall Council Chambers, 220 W. South Ave, 80863]

Now I agree — we all make mistakes.  But in case anyone’s interested in mailing a letter to the Congressman’s event in Glenwood Springs, they were kind enough to include the zip code for us.
