      1. I feel bad about Harvey's carnage. But I have limited funds available for charitable contributions and prefer to support my fav charities here in Colorado.

      2. I find perfection to be an elusive quality and will donate to the red cross in need.  When Jesus comes back at the head of an army of 10,000 angels, I will know that we imperfect humans at least held the line before the rapture.

    1. Reality check.  You can't wait for a disaster tohappen and then respond..you need stockpiles of stuff in advance.  Funds donated after a flood replenish the reserves and pay for ongoing relief.  So, the bookkeeping is complicated.  But otherwise, thousands of people would die while doofuses wandered around questioning the motives of those trying to help.

      1. Just what Congress and Trump need to do. Go back and revisit health care before getting to the debt ceiling, tax reform and the wall. He always said he had unbound STAMINA.

    1. Clarke is no loss. I wonder why he resigned, though…the WaPo article you cited doesn't say. Clarke is up to his neck in Russian poop, – which is probably why he couldn’t get a security clearance and never was hired into Trump’s cabinet- Sheriff Clarke went on a privately paid trip to Moscow for an NRA convention, and may have received certain favors in return for being Trump's One Black Friend.

It may be that Mueller's investigations into Trump's financial dealings are what made Clarke nervous enough to resign – that, and his ongoing scandals with abuse and neglect of inmates in custody, his plagiarism, and the siren call of becoming a right wing media star.

  1. And yet another example of what happens when we eliminate necessary health and safety regulations…..

I can hear Moldy now: liberals and their job-killing regulations. More freedom, less government.

You what else kills jobs: chemical plant explosions.
