    1. This can only be good. In our 20+ years here as transplants from El Pueblo de Nuestra Señora la Reina de los Ángeles de Porciúncula we've yet to find comparable Mexican food to the several amazing restaurants we left there.

Beyond that, I'd say about half of the "taco trucks" in L.A. have more authentic and delicious food that 99% of the Mexican restaurants here in the Springs. One of the most memorable treats I found was a shopping cart rigged to make pupusas (yes, not Mexican) that were nearly life altering. (And please don't try to tell me about "Green Chile". Gag!)

So, while they freak out about the messicans, we have one more reason to vote D. (And to not be bipartisan with a bunch of sociopathic, lying, greedy, shortsighted, obstructionist Luddites.)

      1. You are welcome to your opinions of what is good, Zappatero – but as a native New Mexican, your Gag! reaction to Green Chile shows a lack of taste and a level of tolerance that (almost) makes you the equivalent of a Texan Republican.

  1. The Decline and Fall of the Fox News Empire

Wow…….Roger Ailes has a lifelong history of abusive and threatening actions to his employees that was known throughout the political and media environment. Can anyone be surprised?

Rupert Murdoch knew Ailes was a risky hire when he brought him in to start Fox News in 1996. Ailes had just been forced out as president of CNBC under circumstances that would foreshadow his problems at Fox.

By all accounts, Ailes had been a management disaster from the moment he arrived at NBC in 1993. But by 1995, things had reached a breaking point. In October of that year, NBC hired the law firm Proskauer Rose to conduct an internal investigation after then–NBC executive David Zaslav told human resources that Ailes had called him a “little fucking Jew prick” in front of a witness.

    1. It's hard to believe that an ass such as Ailes would have kept things so quiet as to not be noticed by his closer allies like Bill O'Reilly, who was himself confronted with sexual harassment allegations. I'm guessing that the women might have talked amongst themselves, too.

The fact that sexual harassment claims sometimes escape arbitration as "outside of the scope of the employment agreement", combined with an apparent history of squashing these claims, is probably enough give Ailes heartburn as he tries to get this genie back in the arbitration bottle.
