The GOP Held Hostage – Day Eight

Now to take attention off the fight with the Khan family, asking the question why we can't nuke someone, and yelling at the baby, there's a new issue that's popped up…..Melania's immigration status in '95-'96 when she did that really hot, Sapphic photo shoot.

Oh, and then there is that pesky new unemployment report that shows 255,000 new jobs created by the Obama-Biden-Clinton administration in July.

On immigration, Chris Hayes shows Trump supporters who are "fine with Europeans coming here." It's them colored folk they don't like……….

        • Conserv. Head Banger says:

Zappy actually says something that makes some sense. Of course, build a wall on the southern border to keep out them brown skins. But don't do anything about the 3,000+ mile, largely unguarded, border with Canada 'cause that's how white folks sneak in.

          • FrankUnderwood says:

Zappy is right on the money on this one. They don't mind immigration, just immigrants coming from the "wrong" countries. Trump's Scottish-born mother and his Slavic wives are fine in Drumphukistan.

They tell us that they want to build the wall on the southern border purely for our national security. Well the 9/11 hijackers did not enter this country from Mexico but from Canada. (You know, Ted Cruz' homeland)

Stop the presses. This morning Trump admitted he was wrong. Have his aides spiked his coffee with meds?

Donald Trump walked back a claim that he saw a video of U.S. officials giving Iran a $400 million payment, a rare retraction from the normally stubborn businessman.

    Donald J. Trump ✔@realDonaldTrump

The plane I saw on television was the hostage plane in Geneva, Switzerland, not the plane carrying $400 million in cash going to Iran!

PS. The lies packed into this single false claim:

This means that Trump told his audience a half-dozen things about the tape that aren’t accurate. The video he saw was not shot in Iran, it did not show the exchange of cash, it was not “top secret,” it was not “a military tape,” and it was not “provided by Iran.” Nor was it released to embarrass the United States.

"The Screaming Yam", as Michael so appropriately named him, may be beginning to understand that it isn't reality TV anymore…no rewrites or 2nd takes…you really need to know what the fuck you are talking about.

Mike Coffman now says "he doesn't care for Donald Trump very much."  Yet, he does not rule out voting for Trump in November.  Conservative columnist David Brooks calls Republicans like Coffman a "wet noodle Republican".  These are GOP officeholders "who weren't really for Trump, but they weren't really against him.  …They made little apologetic comments so you would still like them even though they were doing this shameful thing."
Mike Coffman also says "if Donald Trump is the president, I will stand up to him."  I haven't seen a wet noodle stand up to anything. Have you?

Wondering if Scott Tipton will campaign with Donald Trump?  He has two appearances tentatively set in his district.  Or as the joke goes will he be busy helping a friend move?

Thanks, Mama. The GJ airheads forgot the sacred motto of the old City News Service in Chicago: If your mother says she loves you, check it out.

Your dad would relate, as would mine. We know V does.
