    1. CT: it doesn't explain how all the Californians moving to Mesa County (at the behest of the shameless of commerce) turned the place into teabagger central.

We had occasional Democrats in office over here until those Californians showed up.

  1. "Bill Ritter mugged us several times in an alley."

It was not in an alley, rather in plain sight, i.e. FASTER.

It is also happening today, i.e. hopped up pension because of Stryker dollar match.

Caldara or Ritter, which crazy catholic is worse…

      1. Oh no you did not just refer to Senator Wendy Davis as a "milf". She is a hero to women and pro-choice people across this country, and she stayed on her feet for 12 hours yesterday to keep abortion legal in Texas, and you had damn well better be respectful.

        1. I believe Horseshit GOP front group is just messin' with Nock.  I mean he/she calls himself/herself  "Horseshit GOP front group" for God's sake.

  2. DOMA killed by the same swing voting Kennedy who killed the pre-cleareance provision of the Voting Rights Act.

The Defense of Marriage Act, barring the federal government from recognizing same-sex marriages legalized by the states,  has been declared unconstitutional along the usual left, right and conservative but swing Kennedy lines. Kind of makes you wonder if he voted with the conservative block on voting rights to offset his vote on DOMA  which will be seen as wildly liberal by the right.

In any case, now the feds will not get to discriminate between legal marriages and measures like prop 8 are doomed, too. Any federal benefits which legally married heterosexual couples enjoy must be equally available to legally married same gender couples.

Also liberal D Markey won big in Massachusetts, 10 points. So there's a legit ray of sunshine for Dems this morning. The 100% all doom and gloomers all the time had better slather on a little sunscreen.

    1. Nah, no quid pro quo there …

That bunch of knuckleheads is clearly collectively corporatist. If unwinding DOMA had cost their monied overlords any significant cash, you can bet this decision would have, sadly, fallen otherwise …

      1. Well it's not "they".  Just Kennedy. The two blocks of four voted exactly as one would expect. Kennedy is a conservative but sometimes swing voting group of one when the rest all vote in their left/right blocks.

    1. Really.  Even college grads have trouble finding a job thta paus enough to feed, house and clothe themselves. All that and paying for school and finding the time to succeed too?
