  1. As Ken and Perry Buck have received Jesus Christ, God his Father and the Holy Spirit, so shall they now watch over this family. So shall this family continue to keep their palms upward, eyes wide and hearts open to receive the Lord Jesus Christ in Ken's battle to evict improperly formed cells from his body.

    Let us pray.

    Ephesians 3:14-21

14 For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,[a]

15 from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,

16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man,

17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love,

18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height—

19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be п¬Ѓlled with all the fullness of God

20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us

21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

      1. Meh. He was expressing support for a fellow Republican who's battling cancer. I got no problem with that.  It's a much more positive use of religion than we're seeing in the Colorado Legislature right now.

        1. He was expressing support for a fellow Republican who's battling cancer

I get that, Curmudgeon. I have no problem with the sentiment. I also occasionally quote scripture if I am making a point. However…the above is more appropriate for a prayer meeting

          Let us pray.

I pray on a daily basis…but not here.. this is not a Christian organization (though I, personally, am) nor is it appropriate for Libby to lead this group in prayer..

I wish his fellow Republican good health and well being…but keep the praying in church.

          Just my opinion…nothing more.

          1. I'm with Duke on this one.

Full disclosure, I'm not religious, not even curious about it. But…………….PUtad is just poking the bloggers here. You didn't see anything like this concerning Sentor Kennedy from January to June of 2009. Nothing on Senator Byrd.

My point is, PUtad isn't being genuine. It's a fact he's the first with national bad news. He gloats when gas prices or unemployment goes up. Scandals, real or made up, things that frature peoples' lives, he giggles about. If it's bad for my country, he grovels in it.

So using some prayer to inject the ultra conservative ken buck into the conversation is as disingenuous as anything else the basement dwelling troll posts.

But he got a reaction, he wasted our time, so I guess he wins in some really screwed up way.

            Oh well.

  2. on a serious not, I'm concerned about N Korea. Not tha they could defeat us but that they might provoke war. Seems to be 'lil Kim's aim

    1. 99.99% just the usual bluster.  0.01% we have to drop a hellfire from a drone on 'lil Kim's sybaritic hideaway.  Instant implosion of N. Korea's government;, S. Korea has to do a West Germany and unite the two countries and invest billions in feeding and re-educating their poor cousins.

    2. What scares me is this kid's 20 years old. He might be more nuts than rumsfeld, and as cavalier about rules he doesn't like as brophy.

Unlike brophy, though, he has the authority to unleash the 4th largest standing army in the world on South Korea.

I'm with you. The kid's too young to understand consequences. An invasion would most likely domino down to a face off between the major powers, and in the meantime, military personnel will be butchered up and/or killed. We just finished 10 years in one war, still mired in another, and now this.

The republicans need to shut the fuck up and let our State Department dial this thing down. Unless, of course, said republicans and their kids are ready to roll.

      I'm with you Gray.

    3. concerned about N Korea

      As well you should be.

Though, really, the concern is N Korean leadership. I suspect most of th epeople of N Korea would react much like the East Germans when the wall came down – parties in the street (and excited about decent food, housing and education).

It matters because a removal of that leadership could be swift.

I'm not sure he ( Kim Jong-un) can provoke a war.  He can certainly initiate military action.

The big question is whether or not he believes the North Korean ideology or whether he has any understanding of the real world. HUGE question, really.

For example, does he believe that Kim Il-ung as the "Eternal President" really runs the country? It's rumored he went to school in Switzerland, and is Englsh speaking. Is he on the web? Does he know how the Korean war started and why the USA got invloved? (insert joke here about Americans understanding of same)

Does he believe reunificaiton is inevitable? possible by force? required?

If he would be willing to pusue an isolated, "self-sufficient" N Korean I would care less. But it's far too easy to see the need for international trade to result in N Korean nuclear weapons and technology being transferred.  Which is why I see the latest N Korean nuclear posturing as marketing, not real military strategy.
