New Ad Campaign Wallops Gabe Evans On Trump Tariffs

  •
  • by: Colorado Pols

There isn’t time in the news cycle to take note of every ad that goes up in America’s hottest U.S. House race, Colorado’s ultra-swing CO-08 featuring America’s Most Vulnerable Incumbent™ Rep. Gabe Evans, but when it’s a timely, hard-hitting, and (most importantly) well-funded ad campaign like this latest offering from the House Majority Forward PAC, it’s worth a mention:

Washington, D.C. – House Majority Forward is launching a $3 million ad campaign in 10 congressional districts across the country. The ads call out House Republicans for backing tariffs that are making everything more expensive, voting to cut health care, and threatening a government shutdown that risks even more economic chaos. In WI-03, HMF’s ad features a Wisconsin-based influencer, Kate Duffy.

The ads also urge constituents to call on their Members of Congress to stop the tariffs, stop cutting Medicaid, and stop raising their costs.

“House Republicans are breaking their promises and making life more expensive for everyone,” said HMF President Mike Smith. “From tariffs to health care cuts to threatening a government shutdown, Republicans are hell-bent on causing chaos.”

While the daily news cycle is doing its level best to distract and divide, it’s the personal economy of individual households in this district that will move that small percentage of voters who are genuinely still on the fence off the fence, and get ordinary working people interested in a political message. Americans do not feel confident about their finances right now, with consumer sentiment having fallen to its lowest level since the spring as the tariff regimen began to be felt across the economy. Americans continue to struggle with the inflation that Trump promised would end as he took office.

While the $3 million budget for this ad is technically spread out across ten congressional races, Evans’ is universally regarded now as the most important, and we expect his share of the budget to reflect that.

And it remains…just the beginning.
