  1. The toxic, lawless culture of MAGA has truly corrupted all of the Republican candidates in the 4th Congressional District, who all agreed to continue to support Trump despite 34 felony convictions.

TFG now stands for That Felon Guy.

    1. That Felon Guy ™️ in 2016:

“She shouldn’t be allowed to run…If she wins, it would create an unprecedented constitutional crisis. In that situation, we could very well have a sitting president under felony indictment and, ultimately, a criminal trial. It would grind government to a halt.”

People are saying that Trump lacks principles, but today we can truly say he has convictions.

Widespread reporting that #WinRed crashed yesterday from MAGA sending TFG grandma’s prescription drug money and that they raised an unprecedented $39mm in ten hours. Time will tell in next month’s FEC filing. They lied about “$50M” being raised on April 7 fundraiser MAL dinner, which turned out to be no more than a <$5M increase in cash on hand with the April report just filed. They lie about EVERYTHING.

  2. Tear Down the Justice System. Josh Marshall at TPM

There’s an additional point, however, which I’d recommend to everyone: I would not for a moment take this blitzkrieg of rage from Trump influencers and stakeholders at face value. I suspect that after a bit of wobbling, by and large, Trump supporters will decide that Trump is more reliable and important than the justice system. But I’m not certain of that and neither are they. You can tell that by the intensity of their screaming. This isn’t some peristaltic outpouring of rage and anger. It’s whipping. It’s an overwhelming effort to match and muffle the earthquake of what happened yesterday afternoon with enough noise and choreography to keep everyone in Trump’s campaign and on the margins of it in line and on side.

They’ll probably, at least mostly manage that. But they have no idea what most voters or even most of their own voters think of this. The intensity of the screaming is directly proportional to intensity of fear and danger they feel over what happened. To imagine otherwise is to fall for yet another Trump con.

  3. Roevember: Women’s liberation begins and ends with reproductive control. Rachel Bitecofer

Millions of American women know exactly where they were, and what they were doing, when news broke that the Supreme Court’s conservative majority planned to overturn Roe v. Wade in May of 2022.

I remember vividly because it marked the end of our constitutional right to autonomous control over our own bodies, and with it, our own futures.

Perhaps it takes being a woman to appreciate the incandescent rage that comes from having the government claim dominion over your body. That rage does not simply go away. Women will never “get over” being made half citizens by the Republican Party’s extremist abortion regime.

Reproductive freedom for women was our pathway from the kitchen to the boardroom, at long last resolving what feminist author Betty Friedan called “the problem that has no name.”

Only it did have a name: the law.

Laws against contraceptives and abortion up until 1973 left women at the mercy of their own bodies. Women’s economic liberty, something that barely existed until the Supreme Court’s GriswoldRoe, and Casey decisions, finally liberated American women from their kitchens.

  4. The New Republic has a take on candidate Boebert’s performance at a debate for Republican Colorado District 4 representative hopefuls,

Watch: Lauren Boebert Exposes Just How Useless She Is

“For Ms. Boebert, how many bills did you prime-sponsor … in the U.S. Congress that actually were signed by the president of the United States?” asked state Representative Richard Holtorf, noting that “anybody can put their name on a bill after it passes” and become a co-sponsor.

Eventually, the answer emerged:  the moderator insisted on a number. “That is one,” Boebert finished weakly.

And that one:  The Pueblo Jobs Act, actually was a part of the final version of the Fiscal Year 2024 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).  Another version calls the legislation the Promoting Utilization and Economic Benefits from Land Optimization (PUEBLO) Act,  It instructs the Army to fully close the U.S. Army Pueblo Chemical Depot in Pueblo County, Colorado, and transfer the remaining parcel of land to the Pueblo community for economic redevelopment. Unsurprisingly “Bennet and Hickenlooper submitted language to the U.S. Senate Armed Services Committee to include the PUEBLO Act in the Fiscal Year 2024 National Defense Authorization Act. Colorado U.S. Representatives Lauren Boebert, Doug Lamborn, and Ken Buck introduced companion legislation in the U.S. House of Representatives.”

Boebert claimed “1,000 jobs.”  In reality, there are no funded jobs, but a chance for redevelopment.

The final House vote on the overall package needed a 2/3rds majority.  The roll call vote:

    Republicans:  Yea: 147, Nay 73

    Democrats:    Yea: 163  Nay 45

Boebert’s “accomplishment” in getting the bill passed depended on more votes and a larger share from the Democratic Conference than her Republican colleagues.

  5. Grifters gonna do what Grifters do…until they get caught.  Sadly the brain worms have burrowed in to the red hat cult and there will be no erasing of the memory.

The publisher of @DineshDSouza’s election conspiracy theory film and book “2,000 Mules” has issued an apology to a Georgia voter accused in the film of illegal voting in the 2020 election.

“There will be no future distribution of the film or the book by Salem.”

  6. WOTD: "These people were able to use people salacious." DJT.

    Word-for-word; Gobbly-gook is still gobbly-gook.

These people were able to use people salacious. By the way, nothing ever happened. There was no anything. Nothing happened. And they know it. They were as salacious as they could be. It had nothing to do with the case, but it had to do with politics.

You notice the timing? The timing was perfect. This case was dead. It was dropped by every agency, every governmental board. It was dropped by the highly respected Southern District. They said there is no case here. It was dropped by federal election. This is about a federal election, not a state election. You're not even allowed to look at it. They took the state in the city, and they went into a federal election.

So, we will show them that we will fight. It is actually something, I don't know, where i am wired in such a way that a lot of people would have gone away a long time ago. They would have gone away after impeachment hoax number one, a total hoax. I had great support from the Republican Party. Then you had impeachment hoax number two. Then they formed a committee of thugs, the J-6 committee of thugs. They took their records and destroyed all of the records after the committee was abandoned, because those records were great for us. Can you imagine if Republicans did that? Everybody would have been in jail by now. Think of it. I call it the un-select committee of thugs. It is 100% democrats and two Republicans that are no longer Republicans that are no longer in business anymore, thank you.

All Democrats and two wayward Republicans. Liz Cheney and crying Adam Kinzinger. He cries every time he has on television. He is the most emotional human being I have ever seen. And these two people were our representatives. They had all of the stuff they are leaking. Then when it came time to look at the records, like, what the police said and the Capitol guard said, that I supplied, think of it, that I recommended as many soldiers or National Guard as you want, 10,000. if you have 500 you would have not had a problem. There would not be a January 6. But Nancy Pelosi and the group wanted it.

Anyway, they had testimony that I did not attack a Secret Service agent in the front of the car. These are strong people. I supposedly went to the driver and grabbed him around the neck. and then he rebuffed me and I went to the other guy, who I think is a black belt in karate that is slightly younger than me, maybe 35 years, 40 years, 50 years, and i grabbed him around the neck.

They are a black belt in karate. They know how to get somebody from around their neck. They would go like this, and that would be the end of that.

I had a friend that said: "You should not dispute that. That makes you look like the toughest cookie we have ever seen. You should have let that go on." But the fact is, it never happened. It was all made up. It was proven to be made up. It was proven to be a false story. They deleted and destroyed all of that information, eevery ounce of it.

We are dealing with a corrupt government. We have a corrupt country. Our elections are corrupt. Our borders are open. Our borders will be closed very soon. November 5 will be the most important day in the history of our country.

Now, when i say, because my people are always saying: "do this, do this!" We are fighting for America. donaldjtrump.com. It really makes a difference. They have a lot of money on the other. I don't know where they get it. Nobody knows where they get it, but for some reason they get money. But they are not on the side of our country. In many ways I think they hate our country. Who on earth can want open borders where people are allowed to pour in from countries unknown, from places unknown? From languages we don't even, that we haven't even heard of? We have people sitting in schools with languages where very few people have ever even heard of these languages. It is not like Spanish or French or Russian. Languages on—unknown.

    1. Falsifying business records. To me it sounds very bad. It is only a misdemeanor, but to me it sounds so bad when they say falsifying business records. That is a bad thing for me. You know what falsifying business records is? They say falsifying business records means the legal expense. I paid a lawyer. Totally legal,. I paid a lawyer a legal expense and a bookkeeper, without any knowledge from me, correctly market down in the books. A very professional woman, highly respected, she testified, walk—marked the data the books as a legal expense. A legal expense is a legal expense in the books. It is not sheet-rock construction or any other thing. It is a legal expense. Think of that. This is what the falsification of business records were. I said what else are you going to call it? What else are you going to call it?

          1. The trial transcript makes it clear

But Trump must remain silent, Blanche added, even when Cohen mocks him as Donald "Von ShitzInPantz," a favorite insult on Cohen's podcast and his account on the social-media site X.

Blanche proceeded to read that colorfully worded, offending post into the record as Trump sat listening at the defense table.

One of SEVERAL defense choices that had many attorneys with trial experience shaking their heads.

    2. "These people were able to use people salacious"

These are the same morons who insist that English only be spoken in the U.S.
