  1. Tomorrow, March 31 (or as it’s known in the year of our Lord, 2024, “Easter Sunday”), is also Transgender Day of Visibility, as it has been every March 31st for the past 15 years, including the four years of the Trump Administration.

Easter, born of a Pagan holiday, was associated with the Vernal Equinox but now follows the Christian observance of the Resurrection on the 1st Sunday after the 1st full moon after the Vernal Equinox.

Who gets to mansplain to HoBo and MAGA this isn’t some diabolical plot from the White House to desecrate a Christian holy day?  (the irony being  all non-Trump-endorsed Bibles would instruct us to love them.  As LBPOS pointed out yesterday, cold storage wasn’t the only place King James was hiding his salami)

    1. Your actions are at the root of why Christianity in this country is in decline; a moral rot. Tomorrow is also Ceasar Chavez Day. Viva the strangers from foreign lands who toil in our fields.

      #BeBesrtter.

      1. In Denver, last Monday was Cesar Chavez day.  "Most City and County of Denver offices will be closed for the César Chávez Day holiday."

          1. While March 31st is Cesar Chavez’s birthday, Denver celebrated it last Monday for this reason:

Because the 31st would fall on different days and by affixing it to the last Monday of March it ensures a greater use as a holiday to give people off, ala three day weekend. Like Presidents day, MLK day ,Thanksgiving, etc.

        1. This is Joey.

Joey is a MAGA megaphone. He creates revenue by generating clicks on Twitter by posting outrageous tweets.

Joey is easily triggered. (a typical bully)

Joey is a hateful asshole. (he longs for a white America)

          Don't be a Joey.

      2. I wish we could all zoom way way out, and see the common patterns in the change of seasons, which Easter, or Ostara, represents.

It's the time of year when all the things that were slumbering during the winter or hiding in the shadows  come poking out of the ground: buried Messiahs, baby bunnies, birds laying eggs, trees budding, migrant workers coming out of the shadows, trans and two spirit people making themselves known in the world.

The wheel of the year turns.

Spring has sprung. That which was hidden, sleeping, or denied and rejected is reborn. Deal with it.

and growth and change or imminent clothes

        1. I admit these Howler Monkeys struck a nerve. Both in my extended family and a child of one of my business partners are trans. Both wonderful souls. The idea these asshats want to push these two back into the shadows is an affront on me as well. The upside? Their coordinated attacks, and their vile nature, are indicative of someone in panic. It’s going to be a long ride to November.

      1. And like last year, President Joe and First Lady Jill Biden will issue a release TOMORROW about Easter.

        2023's version

Statement from President Joe Biden on Easter

        April 09, 2023 • Statements and Releases

Jill and I join Christians around the world in celebrating Easter Sunday, a day of hope and joy, renewal and rebirth. It marks the end of Lent, a period of sacrifice and contemplation. And it commemorates Christ’s Resurrection, a powerful reminder of God’s love and the promise of redemption for us all.  During Lent and especially…

Question has been asked repeatedly … are you better off than you were 4 years ago?

In the lead-up to Holy Week, senior administration officials repeatedly took the president’s message of national sacrifice to pastors and religious organizations that are closely aligned with the White House, including some who ignored early warnings to avoid gatherings of 50 people or more. Afraid of the public relations fiasco that would ensue if some of Trump’s religious supporters reopened their churches on Easter Sunday — a date Trump had mentioned last month as his target for an economic revival — the vice president and his team organized conference calls with outside allies to stress the importance of social-distancing measures. …

Trump previously expressed interest in reopening parts of the U.S. economy by Easter, but backed away from the idea after top health officials warned him of the catastrophic conditions that could unfold if Americans returned to work without sufficient testing, and after several polls found that most voters disagreed with his proposed timeline.

          1. paper ballots and one-day voting would disenfranchise virtually ALL service members out of the country.  Why does Trump hate them so much?

Happy to see his brain cannot understand the "early vote" and "mail vote" approaches aren't a problem.  By railing against them, MAGA's potential voters will be reluctant to use them — and that will drive their participation down.  MANY state parties and even portions of the RNC effort have been trying to reverse this notion and encourage early votes …. so there will necessarily be MORE spending needlessly addressing the issue from both sides of the group formerly known as Republicans.

            1. We know why he hates them, JiD. They’re “suckers and losers”. He said this of his late brother, Mary’s father. He mocked Fred-the-Younger’s military service. After Fred left the Air Force, he became a commercial pilot. Yammie-pie called him “a glorified bus driver”.

    2. Franklin, you're a grifter, heretic and a fraud. Did you forget that "…bear false witness" is one of the "big ones"?  Want to hear something hilarious? Next year Easter is on Hitlet's birthday!  Shall we cancel Easter? It's also the Holy Day for cannabis, 420.

        1. Easter won’t fall on March 31 again until 2086. Hopefully by then Orange Jesus, Franklin and their twisted cult masquerading as a religion will have all expired.

      1. Speaking of frauds…Caitlyn, dear. Take a deep breath. Your Orange Jesus spent the morning attacking Judge Engoron, Judge Merchan, Judge Merchan's Daughter, the DNC and many others in 71 posts on Truth Social, President Biden spent this morning in Church services celebrating Easter. BTW, contrary to the MAGA poison on Twitter this morning saying otherwise POTUS released a beautiful Easter message. Did you miss it?

        1. This one is a piece of work!

I remember when she was fawning over Ted Cruz in 2016 ("ohhhh, he's such a constitutional conservative!"). I remember when she made an appearance at the California state GOP convention seeking support for her candidacy in the Gavin Newsom recall election, and they heckled her as a freak. And yet she still cozies up to these people who hate her.

  2. Colorado’s own Jeffrey Sabol sentenced to 63 months in prison for his role in the January 6 insurrection. The Indian Hills man charged a barricade,  wrestled a baton from one police officer, and helped hold another officer down while he was beaten.

Turns out the “thin blue line” doesn’t mean much to these scumbags who like to brag that they “support the police”.
