And even though no one in Biden's cabinet is going to take this seriously, it does mean that between now and November 5, he will be constantly bombarded with questions about his fitnes.
Sure, Trump mixes up Nancy Pelosi and Nikki Haley but as he might say, "It's easy to do. They're both nasty women." Trump gets a pass from his base.
But we have a double standard when it comes to Biden. When he mixes up the president of Egypt and president of Mexico, it becomes Exhibit B in the case for his incompetence. Exhibit A, of course, is the Hur report. (Whoever said that life was fair?)
What can Biden do? I'm old enough to remember the 1984 presdiential election, the first Reagan-Mondale debate, and Reagan's brain freeze which for a brief moment made it look like the race might become competetive. But Nancy swung into action, they let Ronnie rest before the second debate and did not try to confuse him with facts. He came across as folksy and grandfatherly, and cruised to re-election.
The other thing Biden needs to do is elevate Kamela Harris, put her out in public, and get people comfortable with idea of her being president. They need to run as equals because, as Nikki Haley likes to tell people, Harris may very well end up being who you get sometime during the next four years.
And Elise has probably just clinched the GOP VEEP nod ……

Maybe, But He never walked up an airline stair with toilet paper stuck to his shoe. And his wife still loves him. How's the weather in St. Petersburg?
Meanwhile, diaper don is still indicted in four separate criminal cases, found liable for defaming someone because he sexually assaulted her and continually lied about the incident, and can’t distinguish Nikki Hailey from Nancy Pelosi. But, yeah, Biden is the problem.
