    1. Even though this doesn’t seem like a “Friday Jams Fest” issue, I’ll comment.

      • Elections have consequences.
      • Was BidNet the ONLY avenue of discussion of this project?  Any chance there could have been some mention in Jeffco council meetings?
      • For other project classified in the broad subject categories, is it unusual to have more subscribers notified and choose not to prepare and submit a proposal?
      • is the linked article, the publication granted “anonymity” for firms to explain … what? Why they didn’t want to prepare a proposal?
      • Anything in the proposal to specifically object to?  all I see in the article is the hypothetical that the polls COULD BE PUSH POLLS … without any indication that Bighorn has done that with other projects or the county would consider such polls as adequate work?
    2. Peromyscus,

Your link goes to a magazine. If you check the menu, two of the items are focused on gun rights. I am sorta disinclined to read further. I anticipate a monumental waste of time if I do so.

Seems to me you are engaging in concern trolling while digging for something with which to hammer Brittany Pettersen and Ian Silvieri.

      1. Not at all, Duke.  I'm as liberal a voter as they come.  I don't subscribe to this "magazine", nor read it.  As I said, I heard an interview with the woman who wrote it and it seemed like there was some "there" there.

I get it; y'all don't really want to scrutinize comments that don't fit your narrrative.  Feel free to move on to the next anti-GOP post.  Anyone got any new Boobert scandals?

        1. I will take you at your word that you are genuine in your interest and assessment. The Pettersen matter doesn't stimulate me in any way. The level of nepotism found in Democratic Party politics ( Yes, of course, it's there, and in every other arena in life, throughout history.) is paltry compared to the family free-for-all adopted by the GOP.

I live in CD3, so I know nothing about what snakes are in the weeds in CD4. CD3 is a worldwide joke these days, based on the prevalence of names like Boebert and Peters. Nothing shocks us, my peers and I. My point is…people of like mind get to know each other and relationships create job opportunities. If Mr. Silvieri is likely a good choice and unless someone has actual EVIDENCE of bid-rigging. this is not a story.

Your poking at polsters is really bad form and only reinforces your perceived status as a troll…a circumstance that can be alleviated by you simply telling us who you are. Credibility is a tricky thing. Hard to get…hard to keep.

            1. I'm sorry, you obviously don't get "it".

I read the article. I responded to your post. What exactly are you looking for? You are trying to make a " mountain from a mole hill". Like kwtree, I fail to see any reason to bite your Nothingburger.

Your response only reinforces my opinion of you and the trolling you continue. I doubt you are a Democrat, but until you tell us who you are, your rhetoric tells me you are not. Just a troll, packing insults.

  1. JID, elections do have consequences, but hopefully one of them is not that the consulting firms of spouses of the party in power, get preferential treatment.

Brauchler interviewed Sherrie Pief, the author of this article on Complete Colorado.  Though they engaged in the usual Sturm und Drang over the so-called Democratic shenanigans, the fact remains that it does looks quite fishy.   JID, I had some of the same questions as you (explicit push polls, whether other RFPs garner more response) but Sherrie Pief does touch on some of those that aren't in the specific reporting.

At any rate, CoPols has a relationship to Silvieri, ja?  So I just thought they might want to give their side here.

    1. Oh, don’t get so snarky, Deer Mouse.

Ian Silverii has certainly paid his dues as a democratic consultant. He knows the legislature, Dem party politics, progressive activist  groups, donors, polling- all of it.  He’s  qualified to do the job.  For the rest of the story,  I don’t really know what the bidding process was. It wouldn’t surprise me if it was somewhat rigged or weighted by “it’s who you know….”

But it’s hard to muster outrage about it.
