In this morning’s Gazette the editorial page names Merrifield “The Artful Dodger.” Only problem is that it’s not intended as a compliment…
“Then, suddenly, Merrifield pulled the plug, saying he wouldn’t participate unless the event became a tag-team affair, involving Jones and Morse. We’ve never heard of such a thing. Political debates aren’t team sports. Traditionally, such events involve two individuals, in the same race, discussing the issues mano a mano. But Merrifield apparently needs a support group on stage with him. We knew Merrifield, as the area’s most left-wing representative to the Statehouse, had collectivist tendencies, but this is ridiculous.”

the fascist mentality of some at the G makes just one elected Democrat from El Paso County an insult.
They insult our democracy and support anyone with a R by his name.
Your ability to convey an intellectual argument is underwhelming. If you take issue with the content of the blog then address the article, deconstruct the argument, and defend your Mike Merrifield. Empty insults and broad brushes that bristle with a serious lack of substance are best left to the playground where you can kick sand and call names simultaneously.
of the Lamborn/Fawcett debate there’s no question that they slant the news. Therefore there’s no need to believe this article isn’t biased also.
their news coverage has been pretty fair, but their Op-Ed page has been lacking.
Still don’t know what they think about NSA spying………is that something you would expect the G to take a pass on?
er, right?
in todays Gazette. He makes it very clear that he never agreed to all the details of the debate. Fisk also has a letter. I guess its just a matter of who you believe.
