This week on the Get More Smarter Podcast, there have been two shootings in or near East High School in Denver in less than 40 days, and Colorado Republicans are just flat-out saying that they really don’t care about your feelings on the subject. This is what happens when the people who think more guns are the answer and the current situation is just fine take full control of the Colorado Republican Party.
In addition to being the party of endless gun deaths, the GOP is also now the party of…weakening child labor laws? The Affordable Care Act is old enough to be bar-mitzvah’d; we ask if it’s memorized its Torah portion yet. Twice impeached former President and current GOP nomination frontrunner Donald Trump is about to be arrested and/or indicted for paying hush money to a porn star; after all these years, will the leader of the party of Law and Order finally see some?
And the unofficial third host of the Get More Smarter Podcast is back with a new stack of horribles from listening to the state legislature so we don’t have to! Christy Powell joins us once again to play our confusing Republican legislative, “Legislating With Crayons.”

And now another school shooting in Nashville. I just want to know how many children or WHOSE children have to die before they'll wake up and do what is needed all over this country.
At least 3 kids dead this time. And the alleged shooter was a woman, who is now also dead.
"And the alleged shooter was a woman, who is now also dead"
So that's what the ammosexuals mean by "personal responsibility"?
Sorry, I don't speak ammosexual. But I just read three adults were also killed, and sounds like the shooter was taken out by law enforcement.
Oh, it was death by cop? My mistake. I thought it was suicide.
Statistically, it is pretty rare that the shooter is a woman.
I somehow initially thought it was suicide too. I try pretty hard to wait a while for fuller reporting before assuming I have a clue about what happened when there's breaking news. I feel like this is the first mass shooting with mass fatalities by a woman that I've ever heard of, but haven't done my research.
Coverage is saying the shooter was a former student at the school …
hmmm…. I wonder what could have happened and why "61-year-old Cynthia Peak, 60-year-old Katherine Koonce and 61-year-old Mike Hill" might have been shot.
My grandkids (2 are still grade school) go to school near Nashville. My heart stopped when I saw the headline.
