Daylight Saving Initiated!

Let’s kick off this week with a non-political poll based on Daylight Saving Time.

As you are (probably) aware, we moved our clocks forward one hour over the weekend for Daylight Saving Time. Thankfully, new technologies change the time for us automatically; but for those clocks that still require manual changes, how long will it take for you to adjust every clock in your house?

When will all of the clocks in your house be changed for Daylight Saving Time?

Already done, but sweet Jesus I am groggy today…

    Done.

Most of our clocks changed automagically.

I consider the switching of time to be a Communist plot to sap our precious bodily fluids.

  3. Clocks are mostly changed, but I'm not sure I care enough to change the timers for my orchid room lighting. They sure don't know or care…

  4. 2Jung2Die says:

Since so many things automatically change time now, I only had to manually reset 2 devices, but resetting myself will take time.

Gotta love Marco Rubio pushing for year-round daylight savings, thus demonstrating, once again, that he ignores science whenever he can.  Drive safely today, it's a dangerous day on the roads.

I only had to change 2. The rest are synched with the radio signal from Ft. Collins. It’s a pain in the butt to do this twice a year, but I’d sure hate all the darkness in the winter, otherwise.

I knew it … DST is an invention of the US War Machine … the military-industrial complex conspired to implement it

DST was first implemented in the US with the Standard Time Act of 1918, a wartime measure for seven months during World War I in the interest of adding more daylight hours to conserve energy resources. Year-round DST, or "War Time", was implemented again during World War II.

Despite their best efforts, the amount of sunlight and the extent of daylight hours remained stubbornly the same.
