Complaints Filed Against Trailhead, Other 527 Groups

Two different groups have filed formal complaints against Trailhead Group (the Republican Trailhead Group, not the newly-registered Trailhead Group) alleging campaign finance violations.

The first, filed by Colorado Citizens for Ethics in Government, goes after four different Republican groups – Trailhead, Colorado Leadership Fund, Senate Majority Fund and Colorado Good Government Initiative – for failing to accurately disclose transactions.

The second, filed by attorney Ed Ramey, seems to allege that Trailhead was trying to cover up corporate contributions by passing money back and forth through other 527 organizations.
