Mnuchin tells GOP senators that unemployment could reach 20%.  The maximum unemployment rate during the Great Depression was 24.9% in 1933.

I don't live in Perlmutter's district so cannot easily email his office. If you're a constituent, pass the article (linked below) along to a Perlmutter staffer – please. I have already passed it along to a staffer for my Congressman.

I know from Ed's website that he accompanied Obama on his March 2016 trip to Cuba to work on normalizing relations between Cuba and the U.S. We all know what has happened since Trump was inaugurated – everything has gone backwards for purely political reasons (Trump wants to win Florida and apparently believes the path to victory is through the Cuban exile community in Miami and elsewhere in Florida). In Trumpworld, Cuba is nothing more than an evil, communist country. In reality it is a vibrant community 90 miles from Florida with amazing people, culture, and guess what – an advanced healthcare system and long-established medical research. Years ago Cuba developed Interferon Alpha 2B which has been used successfully in prior epidemics and is believed to be a possible effective treatment for COVID-19. Trump and his sycophants will never investigate this, but members of Congress can.
