As you all know, Congressman Scott McInnis recently confirmed that he has absolutely no intention of debating his chief GOP rival, Senator Josh Penry:

Without further ado, I’d like to introduce you all to McChicken. Feel free to dance along…and good luck getting this tune out of your head:
It’s worth noting that this is merely episode one. Stay tuned for more McChicken hijinks and debate dodging. While Michael Martin Murphy isn’t available to launch the McInnis “I’m not a lawyer-lobbyist, I’m really a folksy guy” 2.0 tour, expect to see McChicken in a diner near you very soon.

I wish our McDonalds out here had the McChicken. But they only give it to us in the hot and spicy variety.
So maybe McInnis has my vote after all.
If so, he’s got my vote.
It’s Iowa all over again.
Hillary debated every Democratic presidential candidate including Dennis Kucinich, in many open forums and debates leading up the caucuses and primaries.
It might be a good talking point that will resonate with Republican voters (McInnis = Hillary [I’m sure “any candidate = Hillary is an effective attack]) but it’s not based in reality.
I think the point of the previous comment was to note that McInnis’s overconfidence and dismisive approach could also have a downside. Hence the Hilary analogy.
It’s a terrible analogy no matter how you cut it.
Except, like Hillary, he is not the incumbent and being the incumbent is not a positive.
You may not like the analogy, but it is not terrible.
I realize that it plays well in a Republican primary, but I’m sure you could find a more apt simile.
Presidential primary debates get national press and widespread attention. Nobody cares if a couple of candidates running in a statewide race will debate or not – especially when the primary is 10 months away.
the anaology is debatable but you have to give the video props for being funny. Thats the first thing I have seen on pols in a long time that actually made for a good lighthearted laugh.
but it seems a little wasted and obvious.
