Polis Town Hall Meeting on Iraq was tonight at CU

.

I just got home from the meeting.

I wish Jared,

running to represent CD-02 (Boulder) in Congress,

would conduct more of his meetings in Colorado Springs.

That would save me a lot of driving.

Think about it, Mr. Polis.

Anyway, he pulled the meeting together,

his staff made all the arrangements,

and then he put the main focus on guest speaker David Mann,

an Iraq War vet.

That showed some real class.

.

.

And I have some advice for the new Polis campaign manager, whoever that is:

based on this meeting, the first time I ever met the candidate,

it seems to me that nearly everybody who meets him likes him.

I think Jared should meet as many voters as possible,

in Rotary Club and Knights of Columbus meetings;

on the Mall;

in churches and at workplaces.

I honestly didn’t know if I would like him,

based on what I read here,

based on personal interactions by email and over the phone,

and even from what’s on his website.

But he makes everyone feel like they’re his friend.

If he has any chance of winning,

this is it.

Knock on as many doors and

shake as many hands as possible.

It’s so, so … pre-Internet.

.
