George Culpepper Jr. Yes that George Culpepper Jr. Who?
From the McInnis Blast Email:
Big News to Start the Fall!
So, we’re heading into a new phase with big news.
Blah, Blah …
Secondly, I’m very pleased that George Culpepper Jr. has accepted our offer to serve as campaign manager. Many of you know George who has been helping to put the county organizations together. He’s an outstanding political professional – and a decorated veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He joins our experienced team of leaders at the campaign, topped by Mike Hesse, our General Consultant. If you’d like to learn more about George, click here for a short bio.

Here is the bio I read:
Culpepper is an experienced political and public affairs strategist, will oversee the day-to-day operations of the campaign. Culpepper has worked on numerous candidate and issue races and state legislative issues throughout the Mountain West. Prior to joining the McInnis team and moving back to Colorado, Culpepper had launched and implemented an award-winning campaigns and elections strategy for Northern Montana Association of Realtors. His Montana work built on his very successful get out the vote strategy for the Washington Association of Realtors that was instrumental in re-electing Republican U.S. Rep. Dave Reichert in 2006.
Culpepper became involved in Colorado politics following six years of service in the U.S. Marine Corps, when he was honorably discharged with a service-connected disability. He served as field coordinator in Douglas, El Paso and Teller counties for the Pete Coors for Senate campaign. In addition, he worked as a legislative aide to then-State Representative Dave Schultheis.
No mention of the Bob Schaffer Campaign Organization Director job. Funny, because that was his leaping off point for this campaign.
Not sure I would let him manage my son’s little league team, much less a Governor’s race.

Because it wasn’t last cycle.
Never. Period.
You might be right. Changed title. Some say he was with schaffer some say just coors. Sorry and thanks.
You can find this in lots of places…
Is this Mr. Culpepper? I remember him well… I was on that Andrews panel for the hearing…
Bad choice McInnis.
You have to read this… too long to post, but please read it and remember who George Culpepper really is:

McInnis found someone to say “yes”!
With so many qualified people saying no to him, I figured he’d never get a yes.
Congrats, Congressman.
I’m always amazed when so called intelligent people don’t do their homework and a little extra research. It appears the right wing doesn’t have a lock on the quick and negative. Yesterday two people who have worked with George told me to underestimate him at your own risk. I’m willing to see how this plays out. McInnis has always been smarter than most about the people managing his campaigns.
Gee, two unidentified people talked to a recently registered anonymous poster. Boy, that’s good enough for me.
“McInnis has always been smarter than most about the people managing his campaigns.”
I would only drop the word “most”.
Otherwise, that is perfect.
Who cares when Josh Penry got some nice coverage on “the Fix” in the WAPO today!
Culpepper was the Jeff Crank guy who sent an anti-Lamborn email with a subject line so absurd and disturbing that I will not repeat it here. The text of the message was full if misinformation also. Within 24 hours Culpepper’s name was removed from the Crank campaign’s endorsement page and the campaign manager fired off a mass email completely disassociating himself from the message and its writer.
That’s stupid-ball. Hardball is tough but effective.
