  1. Can hardly wait for the right wing outrage to emerge:

Colorado sex offender registration act is unconstitutional, federal judge declares

And to save a step or two …

     * Matsch was nominated by President Nixon on January 31, 1974.

     * Yes, he was the one who presided on the Oklahoma City bombing trial and handed down a death sentence and a life-without-parole sentence for the crime.

In short, I don't think there is much ground to consider him a "liberal" judge.

  2. And, while the Trumpeters are howling about Comey's draft letter, another draft letter emerges . . .

Mueller Has Early Draft of Trump Letter Giving Reasons for Firing Comey

    https://www.nytimes.com/2017/09/01/us/politics/trump-comey-firing-letter.html

    . . . this can only mean one thing folks . . .

. . . look for Cheetolini to announce mass deportations later this afternoon, or a missle attack on Pyongyang, or a . . .

(It's shaping up to be a memorable Memorial Day weekend, stay dry people . . . )

  3. Hasn't been the greatest couple of days for citizens in the ever-expanding war between the citizenry and those sworn "to protect and serve":

    – The p.o.s. Georgia cop of "We only kill black people" fame gets to retire rather than be shitcanned.

    – A p.o.s. cop in Utah arrested a nurse for refusing to provide a blood sample of a hospital patient. Providing the sample would have been a clear violation of both hospital policy and the law, but that mattered not one whit to the p.o.s. cop in question. All he cared about was that he didn't get his way.

    – Closer to home, a p.o.s. Westminster cop is facing formal charges for basically raping a woman in police custody.

    1. And,, of course, a cop in Houston died in his car because he was heading toward the flood to save lives instead of heading to high ground to save his own ass.

Goddamn cops, always running up the stairs when we're runnung down.  And all to save pos whiners who think all crooks are heros and all cops are bad.

Go soak your head in a toilet bowl, asshole.

  4. V, The cops genghis is calling out make them all look bad. One bad one overshadows ten heroic ones. It shouldn't be that way, but as an old newspaperman such as you knows, good cops who do their jobs well are "dog bites man" stories.
