  1. "Our President mistaking two Russian operatives for some stooges at his country club thinking he can get a deal on some land if he gives them a little inside information"

    ~Morning Joe meltdown

      1. Oh hell no. They'll die on the hill of loyalty to parasites, despots and mentally ill crackpots if they think it'll further their evil agenda.

      1. I admit to a grudging respect for Prunie.   Unlike Carnholio, he's not a shill regurgitating his paymaster's talking points.  Or poor old dim-witted Moddy, huddled in the dim light of his mother's basement reading Atlas Shrugged for the rape scenes and praying for a Republican triumph.

The Pear honestly believes in Trump, He doesn't shill for the Republican Party and, in his heart, has to know what a terribly flawed person the boy in the White House is.  He just thinks the Washington establishment, including the Ossified Olde Party, is worse. His views may be wrong, but they are his own.  One of these days, Pp, lets have fish and chips and a PBR on South Broadway.

There are worse things than sharing a cool one with an honorable adversary.

              1. As a retiree, I like 1:30 , when crowds are gone.  Thursday and Friday are great for me.  But your schedule PP, might be more difficult.  If Bowman could make it, that would be great and I'd love that.  I actually think you'd adore MJ, who is an absolute charmer in person, but her teaching schedule and location would be a killer.

So, for openers, I say 130 thursday or friday.  PP, Mike, and hell, anybody else who's game, let me hear from you.

                  1. I'm 6-3 350 [sic) lbs, 71 years old with an attitude.  Friday it is.

Mike, any chance you can make it.   If not, let me know some time you're here.  Otherwise, I might extend one of my farm trips by swinging through Wray.u

                    1. V – I'm putting this in my calendar. If I can be in Denver I will be there!  We're about to have a new addition to the family so the weeks' schedule is still a little in the air. I'm in KY the next Thur/Fri so my next opp would be the following week if this week doesn't work.

                    2. Pair – I'm 6-4 240 [sic], and almost young enough to be V's kid.  Do you think you can manage 12 1/2 feet and 590 pounds of eastern Colorado farm boy logic?

                1. Last Friday before finals week, I'm not driving to Denver, but after Memorial Day, I'd travel for a Pols meetup. Who knows, we might have something to celebrate – another chapter in the slow-motion collapse of the Trump Multinational  Empire and US Presidency.

Thanks V – I guess folks were surprised that you and I didn't get into a bar fight at our last meetup at Jezebel's! I enjoyed meeting Davie, Jason S, Canines, Cook and Mrs. Cook, too. It's always fun to put a face to an alias. Plenty of other Polsters I'd like to meet, too.

        1. Ummmmm . . .

. . . aren't you the very same guy who suggested just about twelve months or so ago that you thought Moderatus might have some principles . . . or a soul . . . or good penmanship . . . [or something]????

          1. Yes, I said it.  I was wrong.  Poor old Moddy.   He is just not very bright.   Have compassion for him, but don't forget to have a friend drop in and water him if you go on vacation for more than a week.  MJ will do it for a modest fee.

      2. No, Pruney Boy, that would be you, and Moe and Shemp.

Watsamatta, bunky? Starting to lose your phony "cool" watching your prez and your pro-Russia party implode?

        Understandable.

Still, I laugh in your miserable general direction, you insufferable, condescending twit.

  2. Someone who knows more than I do about trade and agriculture:

Is the confirmation of Lighthizer as US Trade Representative good news? Cory Gardner voted no, (per his weekly newsletter) because

I’m afraid his policies could hurt Colorado’s farmers and ranchers. In light of the current agricultural crisis facing much of rural America, if we are not open to new trade opportunities, farmers and ranchers in Colorado and across the country will continue to struggle to make ends meet. We have to allow our agricultural products to flow to markets around the world and negotiate fair deals that will boost agriculture exports.

The verdict from some progressives is that Lighthizer knows what he's doing in trade and isn't a batshit crazy conspiracy theorist, which makes him unusual in Trump circles. He also hasn't advocated for some of the more draconian provisions of the TPP.

If his confirmation is some rare good news in Trumpland, I'll take it.
