2. You forgot to mention that the Raiders stink, though not they as much as Trump.  They are again betraying their fans and moving to another city, Las Vegas, to indulge their relentless lust for taxpayer cash.  Their new name is the Las Vegas Welfare Bums.

7. Why Was Heath Mello Thrown Under the Bus?

   Was the candidate for mayor of Omaha held to a different standard than other Democrats?

   All of the women I spoke with here were well acquainted with Mello’s personal opposition to abortion. But they also knew that while remaining true to his beliefs and his Catholic faith, he has been a public defender of Planned Parenthood, one who has shifted his efforts from blocking abortion to helping women avoid unwanted pregnancies by supporting comprehensive sex education and access to contraception—the same path travelled by politicians from Bill Clinton to Joe Biden to Tim Kaine.

8. Obama's $400,000 Wall Street speaking fee will undermine everything he believes in

   To fight the rising tide of populism, mainstream leaders need to raise their ethical game.

   Did you really avoid breaking up the big banks because you thought it would undermine financial stability, or were you on the take? Did you really think a fracking ban would be bad for the environment, or were you on the take? One man's sophisticated and pragmatic approach to public policy can be the other man's grab bag of corrupt opportunism.

   Leaders who sincerely care about the fate of the progressive center as a nationally and globally viable political movement need to push back against this perception by behaving with a higher degree of personal integrity than their rivals — not by accepting the logic that what's good for the goose is good for the gander.
