From The Denver Post:
Green mentioned a few local leaders as potential replacements, including former House District 23 chairman Max Tyler, Golden Mayor Jacob Smith and Lakewood Mayor Bob Murphy.
Jefferson County Democratic Party chairwoman Ann Knollman said no formal applications have been filed nor a date scheduled for an appointment committee. She said people are also discussing failed Jefferson County Commission candidate Jason Bane, who won more votes than any other Democrat before him.
Smith has already sent out an email to constituents saying that he will not run to fill Green’s seat. Of all the seats that have turned over recently, this is the first one with real implications in 2010 (it’s not like a Republican is going to win Peter Groff’s seat in Denver).

I believe he has a very solid chance to pick up the appointment … if the Post is right and he lives in the district.
I recall he’s a family guy that narrowly lost a County Commission seat in 2008.
Didn’t a Green cost Jason the last election? The irony would be too much.
they’re droppin like flies … the failure to execute and manage in this case was just so crystal clear.
I’m a thinkin’ that Bill Vidal or Ed Tauer will be a good candidates to replace him, certainly a lot better positioned then that loaf of a pol-gadfly Randy Pye.
Ironic. But appropriate.
….Ramey Johnson will become a Democrat and seek appointment to this seat! After all, it was Republican Bob Schaffer who cost her re-election to this seat a few years back.
My guess is he will get that all-important ColoradoPols endorsement.
can still come in handy…
for America!
