  1. Cory was wondering what it's like to stand so close to someone of such principled leadership and determination to fight for our democracy………..

Senator George Hoar of Massachusetts seized the occasion to propose a rule he long had had in mind: "No senator in debate shall, directly or indirectly or by any form of words impute to another senator or to other senators any conduct or motive unworthy or unbecoming a senator." Once adopted, senators had the means of instantly quieting raucous or abusive debates.

(And this is where the *idea* that the senate is the "greatest deliberative body on earth" comes from. Problem with that is you can't call a liar a liar when the liar is a senator.)

The rule was created, in other words, to protect senators like Ben Tillman from hearing mean things that would make them so mad they had to punch someone. And Ben Tillman, as it happens, is perhaps the most notorious proponent of racial terrorism in the history of the United States. Here are just a few of the things Tillman said during his horrific political career:

"[We] agreed on on the policy of terrorizing the Negroes at the first opportunity by letting them provoke trouble and then having the whites demonstrate their superiority by killing as many of them as was justifiable." (Tillman boasted during the same speech that his pistol had been used to execute seven black men in 1876. Source.)

No surprise; Cory is surely clueless about that, too.

    1. Fauxchontus is principled?

      Now that is funny.

Is pretending to be native American when you are not principled?

How about submitting as a native American family recipe to "Pow Wow Chow" cookbook a recipe which was taken from a Manhattan restaurant?

      1. Yeah, way worse than getting a U.S. Serviceman and civilians killed in a botched raid with sketchy intel because you want to prove you have a big…set of hands

          1. That's a stretch, PissAnt. Do you really expect anyone to believe that bullshit? Carried out by whom? Customized over dinner for maximum ratings by whom?

Please…knock it off. That's very weak sauce, even for you. I would expect that from a newbie like that guy that calls himself Pathetic Poser (or something like that), but not from an old hand like you…

  2. The tech industry is bitching and moaning about losing access to  immigrants based on Donald Trumps new visa policy.  The tech titans say they need access to these immigrants because of their technical skills. How many software engineers come from Somalia, how many software engineers come from  Syria, from Sudan, from Libya, from Yemen, from Iraq or from Iran. The bigger question is why are Americans not good enough for these jobs. Two  possibilities.

Corporations are looking for cheap labor .

Our population has not been educated adequately.

It's both!  Leftist billionaire Democrats who run Google, Amazon, Facebook, Apple, Microsoft, Chambers of Commerce, Wall Street banks and others want cheap labor to create or service their products.

Mamma's teachers union can't get the U. S. past 14th in international rankings. Math and  Science are even worse at 26th. And Democrats applaud.

Thank you President Donald Trump. Thank you Secretary Betsy DeVos. Keep winning!

    1. It would appear that rightist billionaires like the Kochs and Adelson also want access to so-called cheap labor.

Yes, thank you indeed Secretary DeVos, who has publicly stated that she wants to use public schools to advance “God’s Kingdom.” Excuse me for a moment while I go off line to throw up. This sure ain’t conservative.

        1. Liberty to ram your religion down the throats of non-Christians.  No liberty for the non-Christians to be free from those that seek to ram Fudie religion down their throat.  Convert, or suffer the consequences.

Such is the fascism of the Republican Party.
