  1. And speaking of immoral, lying, anti-American pieces of GOP shit, here's a slightly dated but totally relevant piece on one of the biggest dangers to our American experiment — Kris Kobach — now a prominent member of Comrade Pee Wee's administration. And this is from the paper of record in a state he and his disgusting ilk have already turned into utter garbage:

    http://www.kansascity.com/opinion/editorials/article77519827.html

Just imagine this despicable, deplorable traitor operating with no oversight at the highest levels of the federal government…

    1. Uh oh, looks like Trump's numbers are headed for the dumpster:

Thirty-six percent of voters approve of the way President Donald Trump is handling his job in his first week, according to a new poll that reflects a sharp divide along partisan lines.

The Quinnipiac University poll, conducted over the first five nights of Trump’s presidency — last Friday through Wednesday — shows that a larger percentage, 44 percent, disapprove of Trump’s job performance. Nineteen percent are undecided in the poll, which was released Thursday.

  2. And so it begins:

GOP Leaders Say U.S. Will Pay Billions For Border Wall, But Insist They’re Fiscal Conservatives

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) said Thursday that Congress will pay $12 billion to $15 billion for a border wall upfront, dodging questions about whether they will offset the cost with spending cuts.

Despite his admission that Congress would foot the bill for the wall upfront, Ryan insisted that Republicans are still fiscal conservatives at their core and would “find the fiscal space” to pay for projects like the wall in their spring budget.

Surely there is a Widows and Orphans Slush Fund Paul Ryan can raid.  As he has said, you don't want to have them laying about in hammocks!  And we certainly don't want to encourage having more Widows and Orphans.

    1. Funny speculative joke seen on Yahoo! News just now: there may not be enough US born workers available to build the wall.  Speculation is that undocumented workers may be needed.

        1. Unfortunately, the opposite is likely to happen.  All the branches are updating their Christmas wish lists now that Republican Santa Claus and his elves in Congress have arrived.

  3. So, let's see where we're at…

    1) Trump accused HRC of risking national security by using a private email server.
     – Trump tweets using a private Android smartphone from a Twitter account linked to a gmail account.
     – The Trump Whitehouse senior staff (Kushner, Conway, Bannon) use a private email server (RNC).

    2) Trump accused HRC of profiting from her position as SoS.
    – Membership fees at Mar-a-lago just doubled from $100k to $200k

    3) Trump steadfastly repeats the lie that over 3-million votes were fraudulently cast in the last election and they all went to HRC.
    – Bannon and Mnuchin are both registered to vote in multiple states.
    – Trump stated when contesting the MI recount (through his lawyer) that there was no voter fraud in the last election.

    etc., etc., etc.

  4. I think Mexico's President Nieto will be referring to Trump as "El Supremo Bozo"

President Donald Trump started Thursday morning taunting the Mexican president about not ponying up for the border wall. By the afternoon, Trump’s team had threatened to set off a trade war. And less than two hours later, they walked it back.

  5. Danger! Danger!  Loose Cannon alert!

Publicly, House and Senate Republicans insisted that they their two disparate institutions were fostering fraternity in Philadelphia. But progress with Trump himself was more scarce and lawmakers that wanted to press Trump on what exactly he wants from Congress got little clarity in his appearance at the retreat because he left immediately after his speech ended, foregoing an expected Q&A with lawmakers and leaving the job to Pence.
