Our Fresh New Look

  • by: Colorado Pols

As you can see, Colorado Pols has moved. We changed servers in order to better handle our increased traffic and to give us the ability to do more (such as adding a much-requested SEARCH feature on the right).

The COMMENTS section should work the same as it always has, and the rest of the old features should be the same as well. We’re still working out some kinks, however, so please let us know what you think and what else you might like to see.

  1. Change is good.
It appears you have disabled display of (usually fake) email addresses.  I’m trying a dummy URL also with this post to see if it is posted.

  2. Looks great, much faster response time.

Just a note: on Mozilla/Firefox, the text doesn’t wrap on the right when it hits the white border.  Or at least it doesn’t if you’re using a non-standard font size.  For people who want bigger fonts, that’s a bit distracting.

  3. You might want to restore the homepage link to the logo; most people will try to click there if they want to return to the homepage.

Also, can we get the right-hand bar, or at least the recent comments block, re-enabled on the thread pages?  I know the recent comments block is down in general right now, don’t know if that affects this issue.

  4. We will definitely be putting the most recent comments section back on the sidebar – as soon as we figure out how to do it. Remember, we’re political nerds, not technical nerds.
