Loveland Trump Supporters Accost Disabled Child

A report from Denver7’s Sally Mamdooh is rapidly making its way around the internet today, describing another unfortunate incident at a Donald Trump rally–this time involving a local mother with her disabled child attending Monday’s event in Loveland:

Jennifer Mau and her 7-year-old daughter, who has disabilities, say they attended the rally as an undecided family, wanting to know more about the Republican candidate for president…

Amid the rally, however, Mau decided to leave with her daughter. Mau said that drew the ire of those surrounding her.

When we were leaving, somebody said, ‘Why are you leaving?’ and basically struck a nerve,” Mau said. “I said, ‘Why are you here? He makes fun of people like you.'”

Several people yelled at her – one followed her, telling her if she loved her daughter she should vote for Trump — until she said Secret Service escorted her out of the rally. [Pols emphasis]

Thankfully there was no physical altercation during this incident, perhaps due to the quick intervention of Secret Service agents to escort Jennifer Mau and her daughter out of harm’s way. But it’s an example of the all-consuming belligerence from many Trump supporters today–who can’t understand why everyone doesn’t support their messiah, and take any statement or action other than unquestioning devotion as a personal affront.

When a mother and child can’t even leave Trump’s rally without being confronted, it’s gone too far.

      Trump really has lowered your standards, and the sickos that caused this incident are all too common — ever been to a Scientology gathering, or any MLM sales rally?

      It takes a lot to make me consider not reading this blog anymore, but your disgusting attacks on Julie Williams and her disabled son are out of line. Say what you want about Williams, but NOW YOU ARE ATTACKING HER DISABLED KIDS.

      What is the matter with you liberals? Is nothing sacred? Have you no shame?

      I'm sure none of you will miss me if I don't come back, but I want you to know I am personally offended by this hypocritical smear on a good woman who is WORKING FOR FREE to make our schools better. Shame on you all.

          Well, if talking about it is the standard, and Pols has linked the video, where's your outrage?

          1. Moddy's not outraged about this incident because unlike his debunked example of Julie Williams, it wasn't made up of whole cloth lies.

            Apparently she made this or a similar claim through paid assassin board attorney Brad Miller last year, and, after reviewing a few hundred hours of tape, the Jeffco security folks found not only no "coercion" of her kid, but no such gathering.

            Let's just say Moddy enjoys being outraged when it is convenient, not so much when it doesn't suit his prejudices.

    3. I personally know this young lady. If she was there and felt her daughter was unsafe, she would absolutely remove herself and her child from such a scene. She's not one to hold her tongue. Her response was quite G rated. We are not friends, quite the opposite. But I developed a whole new respect for this mom. She loves her child to no end. Obviously you did not read the article. She was there as undecided you genius. If she was undecided I hope she saw the Trump supporters real sides when it comes to their unrelented nonsense. This woman WILL overcome this experience. She's that strong. Unfortunately Trump's behavior has given his minions permission to behave as major Aholes and no one is safe from their lashings. A shameful group of followers…just disgusting.

        Exactly – the public needs to be protected from Trumpers, not the other way around.

Not really, chb.  Come out to my. farm and I will show you how cow manure can replenish the soil and grow lovely flowers and nourishing food.  Trump is more like the salt roman generals sowed in the fields of Carthage, to poison and defile them.   With enough manure, good people can build a good world.  The only thing you can build with Trump is a concentration camp like Dachau.
