    1. No they will not.  The Obama-Biden-Udall recovery from the Bush-Cheney-Allard depression moves us up!  Udall does need to stop the birth control and abortion ads and replace it with this Ronald Reagan ditty:  are you better off today than you were six years ago?

And for good measure, I'd raise the question:  is it just a coincidence that the recovery continues as the Affordable Health Care Act has gone into effect?

      Skippy, Zippy, care to comment?

  1. hmm…the snail was ok until a fucking gop elephant stepped on the poor thing…that is the story of how the gop/baggers got their slime on…

    1.

      Attaboy, Brandon!!

Kudos and a big "thank you" to Brandon Rittiman for calling out this deceptive crap. It will persist until the media finally stops trying to be balanced and returns to being honest…The Republican party, while not holding a complete monopoly on mendacity, has taken " lying your ass off " to new levels of acceptance within their collective strategy. Let's hope this sort of expose becomes a trend….

    1. The economic conservatives will say, "the market will protect us from viruses!!!   Praise the market!!!"

The religious conservatives will tell us that this is God's revenge for something or another.  It started in Africa where they have Sharia Law.  There must be a connection.  Has anyone asked Dr. Chaps yet…….

      1. Chaps is always willing to share his bigoted views…. in this recent youtube video, he rips S o S John Kerry at 4:54 for continuing to characterize the airstrikes against ISIL as a "counterterrorism operation", instead of a war, which is what he and theblaze.com think it should be called.  This allows him to bash Obama both  for not doing more, AND for overreach in not consulting Congress.

(On Septermber 23, Congress verbally approved airstrikes on ISIL in Syria, but declined to vote on these, until after the midterm elections. Congress did approve of arming anti-ISIL, anti-ASSAD rebels)

Klingenschmitt continues to distort and to bash Islam  generally, as a violent religion dedicated to killing Christians and Jews.  At 7:28, Klingenschmitt goes into his usual anti-Islamic distortion mode: "The only way to be a moderate Muslim is to disobey the Quran".

So Klingenschmitt's main point seems to be that, since the coalition against ISIS includes Arab states who are of the Islamic religion, they cannot possibly be moderates. They must be "possessed of demonic spirits of murder" . He includes a photo of a Moslem cleric holding up an AK47, and with the usual dubious translation, says that the man is saying, "This is how we will uphold Sharia Law".

Klingenschmitt further claims that our tax dollars are going to "fund the Muslim Brotherhood", with the implication that Obama is friendly to same.

His willingness to inflame religious intolerance in the area is terrifying – if it brings donations into his religious and political operations, which overlap to an unnerving degree, Klingenschmitt is all for it. He'll scare people about Sharia, make them worried about Muslims, and undermine the President, all "for freedom", and for more dollars in his campaign.

        1. Probably the only reason Chaps isn't on this conspiracy theory like white on rice is because he is running for office, and trying to softpedal his more extreme views.

Unfortunately, in the current insane political climate, conflating ISIS with all Muslims, or claiming that the children on the border are Ebola carriers, is almost mainstream. At least three current GOP Colorado candidates are promoting similar views.

I think that, for Chaps, getting caught slandering Jared Polis as someone who "wants to behead Christians" has made him a wee bit more cautious.

  2. The left wing bias at the Post is so glaringly obvious.  That's why September's 248,000 new jobs and the unemployment rate dipping below 6% for the first time since 2008 is on the front page in bold type.

    Or not.

    1. And  why the Post political news Editor, is far rightie Tea Party lover Chuckie Plunkett who moderated BWB/ Hick debate and  didn't touch on any of BWB's most controversial tin foil hat theories or ask him why he thinks Colorado's thriving economy with a 4th ranking in the nation from Forbes is in the toilet and needs to be rescued.  With policies just like those that are probably going to get far right Governor Brownback in disaster zone Kansas kicked out with help from his  fellow republicans.

  3. Oh, where is the alternative voice (AKA troll) this morning? Maybe there's a big meeting trying to figure out how to spin the following:

    1. The truth about personhood's negative impact on contraception is now more well-known
    2. The economy continues to improve and the unemployment rate continues to drop
    3. Obamacare is working and is saving money
    4. Etc, etc
  4. Hey I finally got something besides a blank page on "My comments", I got a fatal error too many bytes message.  So, Colpols, can you start me fresh so I can access "My Comments'' from here forward?

  5. I am fairly new to Colorado politics but have been active in politics for a long long time. I gotta say, this Corey Gardner is the biggest liar I have ever seen in about 40 years of watching politics and that includes my time in NJ and PA!!!!

        1. Just teasing. I'm from Chicago in the state where Governors follow up by going to prison instead of moving onto cabinet posts or running for President but I'm proud to be a Coloradan now having spent more than half of my not so short life here. When I was a kid, dead people voted,  all manner of inspections (gramps was a landlord so for him it was building inspections) involved leaving an envelope and a traffic stop meant passing something green to the officer with your driver's license. NJ's got nothing on Chicago.

          1. Boy you got that one right Bluecat. Illinois makes Jersey look good. I am only out here for 3 years now and am looking to help out in the election where I can. One thing I noticed over the years is that whomever I donate money to loses (the guy that ran against Jeb Bush, the MD that ran agains Mean Jean Schmidt, Hillary in '08, Howard Dean. John Kerry. etc.) so I now donate to the opponent of my preferred candidate so I am donating $2 to Gardner, $2 to Beauprez. $2 to that nut that wants our armed forces to mutiny in time of war…

  6. Who else is gearing up for GOTV?  We in Boulder county will be getting our Democratic voter guides to pass out next week.  I'm excited that all of the ballots are mail-in – should give Dems an edge!

    1. In Pueblo, the Latino Forum is doing some voter reg tomorrow, as are canvassers for most of the candidates, and the Dem Party at high traffic events.

Ballots drop in ten days, and GOTV will kick in big time.

      1. Yeah – we've got two sets of lit drops and two sets of phone calls planned. I am telling everyone that the sooner they vote, the fewer calls they will get.
