I won’t post the text, I know the post is hurting and I want to drive traffic to their site.
It has a very good explanation of how TABOR “works”. TABOR’s can very easily be sold as anti-tax, which it is, but it is more. The true purpose is to castrate government so that it is unable to perform basic services.
I’ve tried to explain this to people, but I have not found a simple way to do so, thanks Bob for giving me some simple figures and ideas to help me explain to others.
The anti government types won’t be satisfied until we are living in darkened shacks chewing on a piece of pemison with a mossberg sitting on our laps waiting for the horde to come through the door. Most of the rest of us want an efficient, effective and professional government–it takes money to do that in the private sector and it takes money to do that in the public sector as well.
