I have some family in Trinidad Colorado. My cousin ran the Trinidad Chamber of Commerce for almost 20 years. Not only is this area depressed, but it depends heavily upon farming for its economy. The loss of nearly 600 farms in Southern Colorado would devastate it. This article greatly disturbs me. This isn’t the only real estate issue that the Governor has, but it negatively impacts thousands of Colorado’s citizens. 1930’s era depression conditions await in these counties if the state causes these people to lose their farms. The people of Colorado should not permit this to transpire.
Please take action and contact the Governor’s office and the Attorney General’s office and demand justice.
