    1. I listened to a few minutes of Michael Savage on the way over here to my project. He was ranting about "the speech over at the politburo". One of his lackeys is going to have to wipe spittle off of his microphone. It was kinda fun…tee hee.

  1. Holy cow!

The redleg lyin' ryan looked like he was gonna choke whe 44 brought up a 9.00 an hour minimum wage. And the whole pinko female House contingent looked like they were drinking vinegar when The President ordered the Congress to pass the Violence Against Women Act.

    Why?

  2. Wonderfull!

The President did what he absolutely had to do. On matter after matter, from the economy to the raising the poor to the middle class, pre-school, power grid, bringing home the troops, comprehensive immigration, raising the minimum wage, voters' rights, gun violence laws, he took it to the redleg abcess.

"Vote no if you want, but they deserve a vote"! It resounded through the hall to a standing ovation, and the effeciveness was shown in Boehner's, Cantor's, Ryan's and all pinko's faces as he pounded home the slegehammer message. We WILL stop this violence. "They deserve a vote!".

To me, what mattered most was that he offered nothing to the dark side that is the conservative minority.. Only demanded. No deals, no "meeting half way". He signalled an all out total war on the red elite top 1% and their republican party hacks and lackeys, defending the Great American Middle Class, Our WhiteHouse, our Senate, let the will of the American people

    Great job, Mr. President.

  3. My 28 year old son kept saying it was about time when the president spoke about Climate Change.  It was a powerful statement to talk about the possible randomness of events of historical proportions for hurricanes, droughts and wildfires but then he stuck it to the deniers by citing the fact that 12 of the hottest years on record have come in the last 15 years.  His trips to Joplin, Colorado and New Jersey really opened his eyes to the cost and devastation of the increased frequency and intensity of these weather events.

      1. Poor, bombastic, clueless, pathetic ArapG was wrong about everything in 2012, can read polls and is just trying to buck himself up.  I think from now on the proper response to anything ArapG says is "there, there"  to convey sympathy or no response from those of us who don't feel any.

    1. Ok, so I went to the Wapo fact checker Glenn,Kessler's critique, and, as usual, there was no "there" there, agop.

There's "debate" in the numbers on oil imports, job gains, several areas, but NOTHING that would indicate multiple fact checkers directly refuting the SOTU.

But, since you appear to trust Mr. Kessler, and you want to go with Kessler's take, and are translating it to say the President's points were false, let me ask you this.

Since you were vehemently condemning UN Ambassador Rice following the attack on the US Consulate in Benghazi, following the lead of the embittered losing 2008 POTUS candidate McCain in accusing Ambassador Rice of "misleading the American People", are you now prepared to admit the redleg attack on her was purely partisan and political, misleading, pointedly nasty, bitter, and divisive, and nothing but foolish hackery?

After all, if Kessler called McCain out on that, and you trust Kessler's critique of the SOTU, isn't it logical that you now believe the pinko attack on the SOS and UN Ambassador was purely and typically copperhead chicanery?

Or is your trust in Mr. Kessler limited to "kinda sorta?

  4. Quick reactions:

Obama did a solid job, especially in making sure the public knows that he and the Dems are the ones who agree with the majority of Americans on a whole list of issues.  The  Republicans in the House have left him few options besides going over their heads to the people and polls are showing the largest generic preference for congressional Dems in a long time. That's worth something right there.

Boehner looked quite glassy eyed most of the time. Boredom or too much merlot?

Rubio looked and sounded like he was running for Middle School Class President and kind of undermined his Big Government Bad message by pointing out how much big government programs had done for him and his immigrant family and how they couldn't have be made it to where they are without them. So what exactly was his point, now?  Big Government for me and mine good?  For the rest of you, not so much? And his weather remark was priceless.

Rand Paul: Why is it that so many Tea Party and extreme right pols have those really big really crazy looking eyes? Is it part of some gene constellation? Connected with the stronger startle response seen in studies in conservatives, perhaps? The more conservative the more startled you always look? Unsettling.

  5. I've only now gotten to watch the SOTU. Our Central Committee declined to reschedule our reorg and monthly meeting. I didn't think President Obama was any where near his most eloquent but he got the job done and I don't disagree with any of his initiatives. Boehner was kind of funny sitting there looking like he needed a bathroom break. I wondered if he had some spirits in his water.

Rubion made me say "so what". Haven't yet watched Rand yet
