1. I just watched Tesla stock go down $11.22 in one 10-minute span! It's down right now around $181 from its Dec. 17, 2024 peak.

   Colorado's Rep Brittany Pettersen (D) flew cross-country with her one-month-old to vote against the GOP budget tonight. Dems ended up one vote short. Pettersen was part of an unsuccessful bipartisan push to allow new mothers to vote remotely.

3. I'm old enough to remember when discerning readers had to try figuring out the editorial bias of a news outlet's owners/publishers/editors. The veil has been lifted at Washington Post, as (boycott) Amazon's Jeff Bezos has decreed that the editorial section will no longer publish pieces critical of what He calls personal liberties and free markets.

   “There was a time when a newspaper, especially one that was a local monopoly, might have seen it as a service to bring to the reader’s doorstep every morning a broad-based opinion section that sought to cover all views. Today, the internet does that job.”

5. Lakewood City Council shows some resolve and pushes back on the, "f**k you, I've got mine" housing crowd in Lakewood:

   Meanwhile, the same anti-housing acolytes are bemoaning the closure of yet *another* Jefferson County school that serves Lakewood residents:

   Jeffco may close another school, but it wants the community to help design the replacement
