  1. What the hell is going on with Gov Polio raising flags to full staff for the felon's inauguration? Why is sticking every Colorado Democrat in rhe eye while sucking up the criminal?

    1. I wrote, explaining my reaction:

It is an exception favoring the regular activity of an Inauguration over the exceptional occasion honoring an individual's service as President. It is a decision that diminishes the idea of a single President issuing an order in favor of a yet-to-be President indicating his preference.

  2. I'm boycotting Meta for a week, I've already left twitter, lots of folks are canceling Washington Post subscriptions. Is it possible to just boycott everything? Is it too late for me to become Amish?

    1. Now there's an idea. I haven't committed (to myself) yet, but seriously considering boycotting Meta for a week. I'll keep reading selected news, often sourced from Bluesky, but TV cable "news" shows will be minimized – or I will overdose on the insanity. HGTV is the likely selection for ALL of Monday. Yep, left Twitter, and canceled a longterm WaPo subscription with the Bezos idiocy before the election.
