  1. Found a good quote from a female:

"Toni Morrison once said, “the very serious function of racism is distraction. It keeps you from doing your work. It keeps you explaining, over and over again, your reason for being.”

  2. Nimarata Randahawa ran as "Nikki Haley"

Piyush Jindal ran as "Bobby Jindal"

Raphael Cruz ran as "Ted Cruz"

James Donald Bowman as "JD Vance"

Barack Obama ran as "Barack Obama"

Kamala Harris is running as "Kamala Harris"

Why are Republicans hiding their heritage?

    1. JD Vance was the groom in a big, expensive Hindu weddng to his gorgeous bride,  Usha Chilakiri Vance. His kids are “multi-racial”, if the definition of that is that one  has more than one obvious ethnic background.

Yet I don’t think anybody’s seen JD bragging about his multi- ethnic family, nor denying it, nor shutting down Trump’s insinuations about how people have to pick one or the other ethnicity as their identity. Nor have we seen Democrats trying to use Vance’s marriage against him, cuz we don’t play that game.

Usha was also a high-powered lawyer who clerked for 2 Supreme Court justices. She resigned from her firm shortly after JD accepted the Veep spot, and is presumably reconciling herself to the role of stay-at-home tradwife- the role JD claims all women should aim for.

      1. Usha Vance may appreciate the few months of a break in routine from her role as a high-billing corporate lawyer.

If Trump/Vance win, she’ll no doubt have to take on a very visible “Second Lady” role — Melania ain’t coming back to be First (or Third) Lady.

If Trump/Vance lose, she’ll be able to make a few phone calls and find a new gig until it is time for JD to start gearing up as a candidate for the Presidential nomination in 2028.

    2. You left out that famous Swede, Donald Drumpf, whose father changed their family name to Trump so as not to offend Jewish business associates in the 1940's who might take umbrage at doing business with a German while their relatives were being put in gas chambers in Germany.

Oscar Wilde said, “Be yourself. Everyone else is already taken.”

  3. Regrets about yesterday and worries about tomorrow keep us from being the best versions of ourself today.

Motto: I can't change the past or stop the future but I can be present in this moment.

  4. Twenty years ago today, children (three from Wray) pulled wagons full of petitions, helping deliver over 110,000 signatures to the Colorado Secretary of State in Denver to put the bipartisan “Renewable Energy Initiative” on the 2004 general election ballot, "Amendment 37".  Co-chaired by the bi-partisan super duo (then) Congressman Mark Udall [D] and Speaker of the Colorado House Lola Spradley [R], it brought together the best of Colorado and created profound, lasting benefits.

This initiative was the nation’s first renewable energy standard to be passed by popular vote. Its passage helped position Colorado as a global leader in renewable energy and climate change policies as we bolstered that mandate under the Ritter Administration's 'New Energy Economy' blueprint.

This initiative also set the stage to bolster the national "25x'25" campaign, formed the same year.  The Colorado legislature was the first to endorse the national plan; the Denver Post the first major US newspaper. Colorado State University Extension Service was the first endorser amongst their community, we well as both the Colorado Farm Bureau and the Rocky Mountain Farmers Union the first amongst their national peers.

  5. Sara Cooper Lip Synching Trump. SHEEE’S BAAACK!

I SO want to hear it, but I refuse to link to Xitter. I didn’t know Cooper was from Jamaica:

So it might not be surprising if she lip-syncs Trump’s remarks to the National Association of Black Journalists questioning Harris’ racial identity when he said Harris, whose mother was from India, just “happened to turn Black.”

But until then we can welcome Cooper back as she lip-syncs Trump’s remarks to a conservative group last month in West Palm Beach, Fla.

    That’s when Trump said:

“Christians, get out and vote, just this time. You won’t have to do it anymore. Four more years, you know what, it will be fixed, it will be fine, you won’t have to vote anymore, my beautiful Christians.”
