  1. JOSH KOVENSKY

Deep in the Swamp Josh Kovensky at TPM.

It is striking how many hours of today are focused on one thing: praising Donald Trump. They praise him for his golf game, for his management abilities, for his divine protection, for his bravery, for his selflessness, for his modesty. If you can think of it, they’re praising it.

If the night has a theme, it really is that: adulation of Trump’s personality. I admit that it is shocking to see this condensed into a few hours. Policies are only mentioned incidentally, as features garlanding the core here: praising Trump.

Comparing this to North Korea or Russia may be overheated, but I really can’t overstate how striking and bizarre this is.

  2. Well, you were right and I was wrong.

You folks who kept telling me that Biden's static poll numbers eight and six months before the election were irrelevant and would eventually start to move were right. They have started moving.

CBS News poll: Trump's national lead over Biden grows (msn.com)

Trump has now started breaking 50% for the first time ever.

The good news is that he's not going to need another 1/6 coup attempt to return to the White House.

The bad news is that he's probably going to win the electoral vote and the popular vote this time around.

  3. Do these people know how freaking stupid and cultish they look with their unnecessary ear bandages?
Someone is already making $$ marketing ear dressings with flags of various kinds and MAGA slogans on them.
