  1. News out of New Mexico is grim. Containment of wildfires at Ruidoso is still 0%. Over 1,400 structures burned. Neighborhoods in the town have been wiped out. Be careful out there folks.

    1. If it would be so easy to get morals back, shouldn't  we mandate the 10 commandments in hospital delivery rooms? Or at the entry to every Congressional office?

  2. Farmers  are warming up to Biden and chilling on Trump because of repurcussions from Trump's trade deals and immigration policies.

“In the Democratic party, not everybody gets their way, but everybody gets a voice,” says Gibbs. “In the Republican party, there’s just one voice.”

    1. Like other groups, "farmers" have varied reactions …. those who go with the "what's in it for me and my operation" calculation, the immigration differences are going to be HUGE.  Trump pledging to round up millions without papers is going to disrupt the workforce.

      1. I have generally found it to be instructive to watch the US Farm Report on NBC on Sunday morning. While one tends to think of the rural, Christian, influences on Americas’ farmers, it turns out many of them are smart and pragmatic. I have not noticed any bias in the show’s coverage and subsequently, a rather tepid opinion of Trumpism amongst farmers in general. They can count.

Don’t forget, too, how much of our farming is done by corporations. If there is strong support for the Orange Destruction…it lies there. But among the families…not so much.

          1. Yes. That is it. We view it on a broadcast channel out of GJ, which happens to be an NBC affiliate. It typically comes on early, wherever you find it.
