To reduce the nasty, extreme partisan divide in this country, I suggest that Trump and Hunter be made cellmates.
(I know, one was convicted in state court, the other in federal. Please indulge my sense of humor.)
What could Hunter have done to deserve that? He would have to listen to stuff like this actual transcript, and I believe he might wind up requesting solitary confinement fairly soon:
Yes, clearly an Eighth Amendment violation there.
They could be sent to the same facility. I've had state DOC clients in federal custody (usually "protective" in theory) and vice-versa.
On Hunter's verdict.
Absolutely! This has thrown the MAGA-verse into great confusion.

Even Trump calls it a "distraction" since it doesn't fit with the narrative that the system is rigged.
And he does have a Second Amendment argument to raise on appeal which very well may find a receptive audience before as many as five of the current Supreme Court justices.
With state offices locked up, Colorado Democrats turn their eyes to local races
https://www.cpr.org/2024/06/10/colorado-democrats-eye-local-races-to-flip-county-level-offices-conservative-areas/
Notably absent from the list of targeted counties is Mesa County. That is an oversight and a mistake. Mesa commissioner Cody Davis is the quintessential grifter, widely seen as a wholly owned tool of local Big Money and real estate development interests
His opponent is Tom Acker. I know Tom well and have worked with him on issues regarding our other grifting institution, Colorado Mesa University. Tom is a fierce advocate for truth, fairness, and shared, democratic governance.
This race can be won if the Democrats will fund Toms’ race. He is a retired CMU professor, widely known and highly respected.
Cody Davis seems to be enriching himself and his friends at the expense of local taxpayers. He does NOT deserve another term.
