  1. Colorado Republicans continue to be able to rent their office, but don't seem to have anyone paid to occupy it.   The FEC report for July 1 to July 31 is here

Total Receipts (from line 19)  $18,734.29.  ($13196.63 from 32 itemized donations, including $10,000 and $1,000)

Total Disbursements…………….$20,697.36  [items over $1,000 are below]

    • Travel Expense Payment – The Rainmakers   $4,267.67
    • Fundraising Commission – The Rainmakers   $1,412.50
    • Office Space Rental ………………………………..  $3,895.50
    • Project Management/Liberty Svc Corp ……..  $3,000.00
    • Capitol Club – Fundraising event ………………..$1,919.15
    • Mileage Reimbursement at .655 per mile …..  $1,121.49
    • Web design Billed through Liberty Svc Corp  $1,050.00

    No salaries. No employee benefits.

Oddly, Williams got mileage reimbursements for about 1,725 miles and Flight and Parking Reimbursements for $ 440.79 — but there are no hotel or meal reimbursements.

And I looked up Liberty Svc Corp — the principal is Jon Hotaling. "Hotaling was accused of dirty tricks in steering 5th District Congressman Doug Lamborn to victory in a hotly contested primary in 2006…. [Also] a co-chief of staff for former Republican 4th District Congresswoman Marilyn Musgrave and manager of [Ted] Harvey’s short and unsuccessful race against 6th District Congressman Mike Coffman and Wil Armstrong in 2008." Other mentions of his anti-gay claims to advance conservatives and conservative school policies.

    1. Fulton County Jail is one hoppin' place right about now! Just read on Twitter:

Kanye West’s publicist Trevian Yutti has been booked at the Fulton County Jail. If you recall, she posed as an government official and threatened Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss with jail time if they did not confess on tape that they rigged the election.

        1. I don't really want to spend much more of my limited time on earth wondering about this, but I've gotta imagine ye had a little something to do with his publicist's actions?

    2. I would have to say that Meadows and the man next to him are the ones who took the most dignified pictures of the whole bunch.

Smiling would probably have been inappropriate. (I keep having flashbacks to that booking photo taken of Tom Delay 20 years ago where he gave that smile that made him look psycho.)

I have no doubt that Trump rehearsed that scowl before leaving Bedminster knowing damn well it would be a collector's item.

Sidney Powell looks like one of the pod people in Invasion of the Body Snatchers.

Rudy, of course, looks like Rudy, and there is nothing he or anyone else can do to fix that problem. The best that can be said is that there's no shoe polish running down the side of his face so by that metric, it's not the worst picture he's ever had taken.

      1. Trump is likely unknowingly showing the “Stanley Kubrick stare.” The “stare;” head pointed down and eyes looking up; shows the person is unstable and deranged. Remember Jack Nicholson in “The Shining,” or Malcolm McDowell in “A Clockwork Orange;” two of Kubrick’s greatest movies.

    1. Forgive me, I smell fishiness, but correct me if I'm wrong:

Proponents blamed critics for the measure's failure to make it to the ballot this year. In particular, they said opponents managed to delay the process "just long enough" for the initiative to miss a critical deadline for the county clerks to get it on this year's ballot.

Proponents didn't specify which deadline the measure missed.

      1. Proponents are the only ones to blame for not meeting the deadlines.  They control when they do things and if they fail to anticipate objections, litigation, and the like, and fail to build such reasonably foreseeable delays into their timelines, then they have no one but themselves to blame.  But we know that these proponents are from the "do as I say, not as I do" side of the aisle.  It's an own goal, and it's delicious.

        1. I'm eternally paranoid, but can't help thinking "someone" knew the measure might be a drag on "someone's" campaign, and that's the real reason why it won't be on the ballot until 2025. You're absolutely right with your comment though, spaceman!

        2. So true.

Remember all those Bud Lite boxes of alleged petitions to recall Jared Polis which the Recall Polis people were circulating in the run up to the 2022 election and which fell short of the magic number needed to qualify?
