Katie Kennedy is back. The at least semi-notorious registered agent for various dark money groups is the registered agent for Advance Colorado Action, the group opposing Prop HH regarding property tax rates and TABOR refunds. The group, along with a number of counties, are suing the state over the "unconstitutional" proposition (in quotes as the court will decide).

One of Kennedy's other groups; Colorado Springs Forward; was fined $1,000 late last year for illegal (over the allowed limit) campaign contributions to two candidates for El Paso County Commissioner, according to the Gazette. Research notes that Kennedy's company; Strategic Compliance; has also represented the "other side of the aisle" on occasion. Guess one has to make a living somehow.

Today is Election Day in Denver.

Because I was out of the country when they brought back the workers for the municipal election, I missed out on working this election. Or so I thought.

Got a last minute call to be on one of the teams that collects ballots from the 24-hour drop boxes at 7pm. So still doing my small piece for open and secure elections!

So the Saudi’a get to own one of our political parties and and a major sport now???

    • Lauren Boebert is a Worthless POS says:

Now, now, Michael … let's get it right. The Saudis do not have exclusive ownership of the GOP. Think of it as a timeshare owned by the Saudis, Vladimir Putin, the Ayrian Nation, and the ammosexuals.

❤️❤️❤️ (don’t you long for the days when the most divisive issue in politics was Papa John’s??)

Schnatter made a public relations misstep last November when he blamed poor sales on the National Football League's "poor leadership" in reaction to players kneeling in protest of racial injustice during the national anthem.

Schnatter was crucified in the kangaroo court of public opinion, although conservatives did seem to be largely OK with it, including actual neo-Nazis.

They piloted the planes on 9-11, we retaliated by invading the wrong country,  spending trillions, we now shake down 80 year olds at airport security, our every move is monitored, Trump gets elected, Jared gets $2 billon, and we end up with the Orange Turd as the leading Republican candidate.

        What could possibly go wrong?!?!

    Gilded Age. From Brad DeLong.

BERKELEY – Some of us are more optimistic than others about the future. We optimists recognize that it is still possible to escape from the traps that America’s Second Gilded Age has laid.

During a gilded age, productive capabilities are directed away from providing most people with necessities and conveniences, and toward exorbitant spending on status-seeking and other worthless activities. Inherited wealth typically plays a major role, and it is often deployed to block and delay any transformation that could upend the status quo.

Consider global warming, which now threatens to neutralize much of the technological dividend that we otherwise would have had over the next two generations. We are in this mess precisely because coal and oil interests had enough social and political power to delay the transition to zero-emissions energy. Worse, segments of the socially and politically powerful regard democracy as a problem.

It's getting dangerously close to 30% voter turnout in the Denver races, per most recent posting. With about 90 minutes to go, vote 'em if ya got 'em!

Apparently this is not the first time when a room holding incriminating documents during an investigation of Trump was just totally coincidentally and accidentally flooded…

I think they are already interviewing the worker who was instructed to do it.
