    1. Ah, parental love.

And I’m guessing that the representative brags about being pro-life.

If only the representative’s transgender daughter had the good sense to stay in her uterus forever, her daughter would be safe.

  1. Common sense and perhaps a glimmer of hope from Jennifer Rubin:

Guns: NO ONE needs a weapon of war. If we cannot make a distinction between semiautomatic weapons that shred the bodies of toddlers and a hunting rifle, then we’re too dumb for self-governance. The consequences of an increasingly paranoid, gun-fetishizing segment of our society ready to shoot innocents should prompt us to revisit the gun debate. Washington this week became the 10th state to ban assault weapons. A goal of getting half the states to do the same within the next five to 10 years does not seem unreasonable.

  2. Duke – per our earlier discussion this week:

Former White House chief of staff says ‘sexism and racism’ contribute to Harris criticism

Former Biden chief of staff Ron Klain sounded off on why he thinks Vice President Harris has faced so much criticism in her first term as vice president, saying “sexism and racism are part of the problem.”

“I think she was not as well known in national politics before she became vice president,” Klain said in an interview on the podcast “On with Kara Swisher” released Thursday. “She hasn’t gotten the credit for all that she’s done; she’s done a lot of very hard work.”
