      1. She was the one who was afraid to run for re-election in her less D-slanted district after redistricting so ran in an adjacent district? And the D candidate in her old district ended up winning just the same?

        Well, at least she didn’t pull a Steve Lebsock and change parties before walking out the door.

      1. Vacancy committees can form and do business quickly, but I can't imagine the 120-day session won't be somewhere between 7-14 days done before they name a replacement. The replacement will miss the pomp and circumstance of the first few days, no biggie, but will have to scramble to get up to speed with bills and committees.

      2. Having seen my mom work as a Rep for 30 years my one thought about that job is – NO THANK YOU!

        All the time talking to constituents, going to events almost every night, being so so so thrilled to hear everyone's thoughts.

        Whoever volunteers for this, you have my appreciation for the giant job you're taking on.
