Proudly proclaimed on Rep. Doug Lamborn’s campaign website yesterday:
Today, Congressman Doug Lamborn received the endorsement of Congressman Allen West (FL-22) in his bid for re-election in Colorado’s 5th Congressional District.
“I strongly endorse and support Doug Lamborn for re-election to Congress. Doug Lamborn is a tireless advocate for our men and women in uniform, and for those who have faithfully served in the past.
Doug is also a warrior himself for the Constitutional conservative values that make America great.
I am honored to have Doug as a colleague, working with him shoulder to shoulder, and look forward to continuing the battle with him for the future and legacy of our Republic.” -Congressman Allen West
By all rights a fine endorsement to score in Rep. Doug Lamborn’s primary contest against businessman Robert Blaha in the ultra-conservative 5th congressional district–Rep. Allen West is a darling of the “Tea Party,” and a fine way to bulk up Lamborn’s right wing primary-voter credentials in the face of Blaha’s unexpectedly stout challenge.
With one little caveat, Lamborn’s staff told Allison Sherry of the Denver paper today after her inquiry that despite Rep. West’s endorsement, Lamborn does not share West’s view that “78 to 81 members of the Democratic Party are members of the Communist Party!”
Depending on who you ask, this either makes Lamborn slightly less nutty or a total sellout.

endorsement from a disgraced war criminal
War hero?
Like Pols says, it depends on who you ask.
… two provisions of the UCMJ.
He also appears to have little regard for violating the UCMJ for certain reasons, based on his further support of the Leavenworth 10.
…if you can get a ticket to the Denver Republicans’ Lincoln Day Dinner that is, Rep. West is the keynote.
