Not having (or using) those social networking media is actually ideal if you want to be the top commenter on Pols. You just post everything that most normal people would post there in the Open Thread, the more mundane and boring the better, repeat 25,000 times and you’re set!

Do you do it based on snark or facts or reasoning? There are whole classes of comments that can be defined as brilliantly crude that wouldn’t fit the rational argument model but have great entertainment value. Picking quality comments out of context would also be prickly. What the comment portfolio shows is that these folks have way too much free time on their hands.
