  1. Supreme court Justices Amy Coney Barrett/Alito's Draft, said US needs a “domestic supply of infants” to meet needs of parents seeking to adopt — that those who would otherwise abort must be made to carry to term — giving children up for adoption.

    1. Chilling. And relevant- for vaccine avoiders, the COVID infection  harms healthy pregnancies and male sperm production.

Anti-abortion and anti- contraception rules have always been about controlling the means of reproduction of the workforce.

Suppressing LGBTQ sexual alternatives is about trying to maintain the nuclear patriarchal family- a doomed struggle, to be sure.

    2. “domestic supply of infants……”  While hundred of thousands of other kids from early elementary school age to teenagers languish in foster care because nobody wants them. So much for the far righties’ adoption “solution.”

    3. “Amy Coney Barrett said US needs a ‘domestic supply of infants’”

And as long as those parents seeking to adopt are not gay.

      1. Turns out “the church” could resolve the adoption crisis, yet seem to have little interest in doing so.

Don’t tell me you’re a Christian, show me.

The Church could give every U.S. waiting child a home

Of the 443,000 U.S. children in foster care, around 125,000 need a permanent home and are ready to be adopted. It’s easy to get overwhelmed by these big numbers, but consider this: there are nearly 400,000 churches in America—if just one family from every third church adopted a child from foster care, every waiting child would have a home.

  2. If we need a domestic supply, shouldn't that mean federal, state, and local efforts to incentivize the production?  Making certain that government regulations and limitations do not get in the way?  States are currently investing in spaceports, movie production, and any number of industries promising to bring jobs — there will no doubt be an equivalent support for children.

Let's see the "pro-life" [nearly always Republican] commitment to insuring

    • maternal health care,
    • paid parental leave,
    • adequate and affordable child care,
    • equitable education spending,
    • guaranteed medical care for ALL children,
    • support for adequate nutrition, and
    • ending arbitrary time limits on the Temporary Assistance to Needy Families.

Happening among members of the Republican legislative conferences any day now.

    1. I'll bet money that his Father's Day message will be Lee Atwater's "Nigger, nigger, nigger" they're stealing Father's Day!.

    1. Imelda owned a house in Pasadena about 2 blocks from a family member. The master closet was reportedly big enough to hold her collection. It’s on its second or third owner since they sold it but was recently listed at something near $48mm, the highest listing ever in Pasadena.  The grounds are an obscene display of grandiosity.

      1. ………”obscene display of grandiosity”

Meaning they have acres of Kentucky blue grass watered from the declining water supply from the Colorado River?
