Happy International Women’s Day.
Indubitably! (I'm been looking for an opportunity to use that word that I learned from Arrested Development.)
Outdubitably!
Happy Int'l Women's Day indeed!
As seen somewhere on the internet recently: Viagra is taxpayer-subsidized to the tune of about $42 million per year. But if pregnancy is God's will, so too is a limp dick.
Happy IWD!!
I like women!🙂
Radio silence here on Eli Bremer’s endorsements. But you know what they say about silence speaking volumes sometimes….
I think it says that we aren't the intended audience for Bremer's endorsements.
Being the audience for an endorsement from the likes of Greg Brophy is a dirty job, but someone's got to do it.
In the dichotomies of war versus peace, good versus evil, the word compassion would seem out of place. But not to the Polish.
The Polish government has stated there has been no need to open up refugee camps for those Ukrainians fleeing the Russian invasion of their country. That's because the Polish people are opening their homes to the refugees and otherwise helping them any way they can.
Here on earth God's work must truly be our own. There is much work to be done.
Much work to be done … and the immediate welcome is great news.
If, however, the emergency refuge is required for a longer period, there will need to be something a trifle more organized that "come stay on my couch."

It is a blessing that most of us are not called to the dark places, that Veterans know all to easy where to find. Last week my neighbor, a retired Master Chief in the Navy ended his life. 24/7 War coverage is in our home calling. GOD bless Master Chief and his family.
Sorry to hear about your neighbor – very sad. You're right Pear that it is "a blessing that most of us are not called to the dark places."
RIP, Master Chief. Our family has three Vietnam veterans, one of them is just now starting to share the horrors of his part in that tragic slaughter of 50,000 of our patriots.
Let’s not forget that the American Rescue Plan included over $14 billion for veterans health services. Every. Single. Republican. voted against it.
Ask your representatives to submit the veterans health services as one bill to vote on and then tell me who and who not voted for it. Let us not forget that government is corrupt at it’s base.
The veterans support in the American Rescue Plan has already been voted on and passed on March 11 of this year (without a single Republican vote).
Nice try Blowman.
Anything for my pfavorite pfruit.
Take heart, Rublesteltskin. Corrupt government officials do get held accountable. Take the Mesa County Clerk and Recorder being indicted, for example.
Powerful Pear —
So sorry to hear of another suicide by a veteran. the loss will no doubt impact the family, the neighborhood, and all the various sorts of communities he was a part of.
A friend works at VA Hospital here … she has highlighted the work being done by the VA, including the webpage here. One tab on that page specifically addresses Coping with a Suicide Loss
In the current Congress, members have re-introduced legislation calling for further study of veteran suicide: H.R.1123 – Veteran Suicide Prevention Act. I say re-introduced, because there have been substantially similar proposals with the same title in several sessions:
There doesn't seem to be strong opposition — but there doesn't seem to be much urgency, either.
