Michael Kofman "actual military expert on Russia" has a 30 minute podcast-interview on "11 Days In: Russia's Invasion Stumbles Forward"
Kofman's twitter feed is informative as well.
really good – thanks
Quote of the day: "Never get into a discussion with a Libertarian or a 7-th Day Adventist" – ParkHill
Sound advice.
So it appears those who were calling Moderatus a Russian were right.
Sadly, Powerful Pear is simply a traitor.
Unfortunately, the wording of Article III, Section 3, of the US Constitution, regarding treason, does not appear to agree with you.
I am not so sure.
Fat Donnie from Queens claims “It is now a fact that my campaign was spied on. This is treason that has now been confirmed by John Durham”
And, we know that the incoherent, inarticulate, incompetent, incontinent, morbidly obese, narcissistic psychopath only tells the TRUTH.
Nitpicking again, eh CHB?
Niggling details are the refuge of the pointless.
He is an enemy of the Constitution and a supporter of violent sedition. My choice of epithet is not a legal indictment..
He is a fucking traitor because he supports those who tried (and continue) to overthrow the government and prevent the legal and peaceful transfer of power.
There was a term often used by both sides of the aisle…"the loyal opposition". How many Republicans today are loyal to anything or anyone but the TrumPutin brothers??
Not nitpicking at all. I also disagree; when I'm hanging around a certain far rightie bulletin board; with those who call far left progressives "traitors because they support Soros, the Clinton Foundation, the New World Order; and the Deep State."
Back in the day, the "New World Order" (nWo) was fun because it was a pro-wrestling story line.
"One who commits treason" is NOT the only definition of "traitor." I don't wanna get out the dictionary, but I will if I have to!
Perhaps if every nit-picker in the world would pick up their dictionary before picking those nits, we could avoid these tiresome explanations.
When I look up the word, the first definition doesn’t mention the Constitution.
Only if the only definition of "traitor" is "someone who commits act described in Art. III, § 3 of the U.S. Constitution.
As it turns out, the word has other definitions.
Oh, but when Elliott had the temerity to point out the third dictionary definition of the word "rape" all hell broke loose on this site.
Another Democrat who rocks. https://twitter.com/RepSlotkin/status/1500151011012456451
Speaking of those who need to be held accountable, Jennifer Rubin has a good column in the Washington Post (not sure if you'll find a paywall).
Good read and led me to this. https://lawandcrime.com/2020-election/advocacy-group-files-wave-of-ethics-complaints-against-jenna-ellis-and-other-big-lie-lawyers-who-tried-to-overturn-election-for-trump/
At the end of that article you can find the complaint filed with Colorado's Office of Attorney Regulation Counsel against Jenna Ellis.
Congress is really stepping up now. This is terrific. Latest – Congress will draft legislation suspending trade relations with Russia and banning energy imports
Here's hoping they move quickly on it.
I'm ready to pay $5 per gallon for gas if it screws Putin over and helps the Ukrainians.
Same here….
But you know who will be screaming bloody murder? The same assholes who had a hissy fit over wearing a paper mask in a grocery store.
We are, too. But I am glad we replaced the car that got wrecked with a Prius.
My ex (I sold the company a year ago) company's QA team is all in Kharkiv. All of them very nice, smart, and a pleasure to work for. And now their wives & kids are in Poland while they're being issued weapons and are getting ready to fight for their country.
One of the best marketing people at my country also from Ukraine (married to a woman from Russia). One of my best developers was born in Lithuania but his parents are from the Kharkiv are and he still has family there.
I spent a week in Kyiv and found the people there without exception to be nice, friendly, and while they complained non stop about the government and the corruption, also seemed to take great pride in what they were building there. The way everyone complained about the politicians reminded me of here.
And so I am following the war there very intently. And I want our country to do everything it can for them. Every single bloody thing we can. As soon as we can. I'm also donating money everywhere I think it will help.
And I find myself following the news way too much. But I can't help it. Especially as the Russian army appears to have hit a wall and can't move forward. They can blow the ever-loving shit out of everything, but they don't seem able to move forward.
So here's hoping the Ukrainians can stop the Russians. And here's hoping the U.S. and others increase the flow of weapons to them Because they're fighting for all of us.
I hope that there is a god. And that she has these people burn in hell.
Nothing here
Golly. Jared Polis did not personally reverse global warming, raise the minimum wage to $200,000 a year , end racism and abolish the designated hitter rule.
He's a monster!
A non-vote is still a vote. If you weigh the candidates and find one (that has a chance of winning) better than the other(s), vote for them – always. Your vote moves the Overton Window for future elections.
Protest (non-)votes are almost never heard, and not-infrequently result in steps in the wrong direction. (See: 2016)
This is precisely the same brilliant thinking that got us four years of Donald Trump.
What did we hear in 2016?
“The system is rigged,” first by Bernie Sanders, then seamlessly by Donald Trump.
“What difference does it make?”
“But her emails…”
You’re not hopeful? You are more like a self-fulfilling prophesy of doom.
