        1. A very good question. IIRC, there is only one Republican African-American House member – Burgess Owens from Utah. But that is not him.

        2. Digby's Hullabaloo has the answer:

Byron Lowell Donalds is an American politician and businessman serving as the U.S. representative for Florida's 19th

Digby grabbed a tweet from a journalist Aaron Rupar with multiple pictures, that can be seen here

Rupar invited readers: "(note Rep. Donalds's expression in the last two lol)"

  1. Westword had an interesting observation

Twitter continues to be aflame with shock and disgust over Boebert’s behavior. But the fallout is unlikely to hurt her much among true believers in her district — and so far, her only potential Democratic opponent in the upcoming election to get much attention is Alex Walker, whose campaign video includes a Boebert lookalike spraying constituents with liquified sewage.

Not a subtle metaphor, but it’s looking more and more like an apt one.

  2. Putin is succeeding in tearing apart his own nation.  Reports of Russian troops laying down their arms, leaving their combat dead behind, mothers protesting across Russia and, stunningly, the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) tipping off Ukrainian officials about a Chechen kill team sent to assassinate President Zelensky proves how unpopular this war of choice has become.

Perhaps to cheer up the demoralized Russian troops, the Trump family and their pet poodle, Tucker Carlson, will fly over for a USO-like tour.  Since Russian banks are cut off from international transactions, Trump probably needs to drop off a loan payment in person anyway to Putin.

    1. "stunningly, the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) tipping off Ukrainian officials about a Chechen kill team sent to assassinate President Zelensky proves how unpopular this war of choice has become"

Wow, if this true, who can he trust? The FSB is like family to him.

    2. So that’s a winning primary strategy…for team Bobo. Fragment the opposition vote, and disgust them all with the sewage and vomit- spewing. Not really any space to discuss policy, or even characters, of her primary opponents.

  3. Looks like Roger Edwards is the last MAGAt standing on this site.

We haven't seen little fluffy in a while. Is it possible that recent events are even too distasteful for him to try to defend.

  4. I can’t believe that President Biden included so many MAGA talking points in the State of the Union. How disappointing! I fear that Bernie Sanders age will keep him from influencing the direction of the party. We must continue to support AOC and her progressive caucus if we want to win more power.
